Summary of the preaching
Sunday, October 29, 2023 – Apostle Billey.
Everything exists for something – even everything around us exists for something.
The sun, the moon, the stars…. Everything has a purpose. Even the hair on our heads has a purpose.
God created everything in His wisdom, and He knows everything.
Nothing is hidden from him, not even the weight of the earth.
That’s why our God must be in the right place in our lives – in our hearts – in our families.
You’re in the family you are for something, the job you’re in is for something, the spouse you have is for a reason, the children you have are also for a purpose.
Nothing is there by chance – everything has a purpose.
Unfortunately, some people covet the goods, the work, the size, the position of others…
All this leads to confusion in the heart. It’s dangerous not to follow your master Jesus.
God created us and put us where we are to accomplish something.
A cat can’t become a lion. By trying to become a lion – he will lose his nature.
Both are valuable and should give glory to God.
Mango will never be an apple or an orange.
Everyone has a different purpose before God.
The day the mango wants to look like a guava – that’s going to be a problem for it.
This means she’s affected by jealousy, envy and selfishness. This leads to complaints and bitterness.
God created each of us different – all for His glory.
Everyone can’t be the same – there can’t be only oranges or only mangoes.
We mustn’t compare ourselves.
Let’s work on our characters – let’s each stay on our lines – And let’s make sure we do things for the glory of God.
1 Samuel 1.2
And he had two wives: the name of one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah. Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.
** Consider the case of Peninna and Anne.
As long as Anne was jealous, envious – she had no joy, no peace – she was bitter.
She’d certainly lost weight. Yes – feel that.
That’s why everyone must free their hearts from all frustration, jealousy, envy, selfishness and comparison.
What God wants is for our hearts to be filled with love.
Love is the bond of perfection
Don’t complain about your size, color, country, origin, age, sex….
There’s a reason why you’re tall, short, and so on.
** In Esther’s case, there was a reason why God had allowed her to be taken captive.
She was then in servitude in the king’s palace. Then there was a threat against all the Jews – yet she had the easiest access to the king.
So there was a reason why God had positioned her there.
She had something to accomplish for the glory of God.
Esther 4.13-14
13 And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: “Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace any more than all the other Jews.
14 For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Her uncle drew her attention to the fact that she was capable of doing something. He awakened her spirit by reminding her.
If Esther had been selfish – it wouldn’t have been the same.
Selfishness leads us to pray only for ourselves – our homes – our children – but without concern for the souls perishing around us.
Esther then threw off her garment of selfishness.
We must abandon the spirit of selfishness, jealousy and envy.
Everything is created for a purpose.
God created us for something special.
** There is a gentleman who was born without hands, feet – but this gentleman preaches the gospel all over the world.
If this gentleman had a spirit of jealousy – every time he went to look at other people with limbs – He wasn’t going to be able to preach the gospel with such assurance.
He learned to look to God alone.
Because the inferiority complex blocks you, shows you that you’re worthless, that you can’t do anything.
Let’s not let ourselves be manipulated by the spirit of this world.
A prayer based on jealousy or covetousness brings no good and is not even answered.
In Jesus Christ, we live according to the laws of the spirit of life, not according to the law of sin and death.
When you see your brothers, your friends, your colleagues – Bless God for their lives, even if they’ve got a promotion/position you wanted.
Those who are used to gossiping, that’s the comparison.
The harvesting time of a tomato plant is different from that of a cocoa plant.
One grows very quickly compared to the other. Each with a different purpose for the glory of God.
Life is a battle: you have to preserve your spiritual life, your family, your home, your work, your health…
The Lord created you for excellence – and the way to excellence is not through envy or taking something from another. But by considering what God has put in you and working on it accordingly.
Bless God in your condition – you must exalt – praise God with all your heart every day.
Be filled with the spirit of love – pray that your spouse will be a champion, that your children will be role models, pray for the salvation of souls and even that your enemy will be guarded…
Fear nothing, trust God – don’t compare yourself with others. Your position in Christ will always allow you to advance spiritually, materially, physically… in every area.
Our God is faithful – learn to look only to Him, for He has created you for something special.
LET US PRAY →
Lord Jesus, thank you for creating me,
For bringing me into this world.
Any foundation of jealousy-envy crumbles in my life.
May any spirit manipulating my life be totally destroyed.
May his throne, his power and his will in me be overthrown.
I destroy his suggestions his words his goals against me.
I declare that all demonic foundations controlling my destiny, my home, my life and my health are destroyed!
The blood of Jesus is on my house and on everything that concerns me.
In Jesus’ name – today – I receive victory in all areas.
