Summary of the preaching

Sunday, May 14th 2023 – Apostle Billey.

Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

A person is said to be strong when that strength comes from within.

If this strength does not come from within, the person cannot be truly strong. Even if the physical force is from outside, if the source of the force is not inside, it doesn’t work.

In life in general, when a person is going through a difficulty, he may feel weak, but if he meets another person who says: “I will help you”. The way in which the person receives these words will make sure that he or she regains strength or not before the situation is resolved.

That is why a child of God has no right to be weak.

When you are weak, it means either.

– you don’t know anything.

– you have forgotten who your source is.

– you have taken your eyes off the source of your strength.

– …

Now, the source of your strength is an eternal, proven, sure and certain source that lasts in time.

The Christian is supposedly not weak if he remembers his connection.
The force is received from within.

It is written in Philippians 4:13.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

It means, Jesus is there, he says to you, I am with you in everything you do, accomplish…

  • Whenever the Christian is sad, it is related to his ignorance.

  • Whenever a Christian is afraid, his fear is related to his unbelief.

  • Every time he feels weak, it is related to the way he sees Jesus, that is, his blindness before the person of the Lord Jesus.

You have to be aware that Jesus is always there.
He has no physical body, but he is in us in spirit.

** If you want to receive physical strength, you have to put something inside of you.

** If it’s spiritual strength you need, you need to put Jesus inside you…

When you say “I am strong”, it should not be just words. But it must be the result of the presence of Christ in you that should enable you to affirm this.

Christ is faithful, everything he says is true and eternal.

Since Jesus Christ is faithful then your strength must be permanent.
The Lord Jesus loves us so much, we are the temple of God, the dwelling place of God.
You will not be the dwelling of God, but you are already the dwelling of God.

Beloved, even when a car is very dirty it does not change the brand of this car.
Even if you see yourself as worthless, dirty, sinful, weak, miserable, unsure of your ability to walk with God ….

This does not change the fact that God created you to be his dwelling place, his temple.

This is why walking with Jesus should not be an option.

We choose to walk with Jesus! And this no matter what the enemy says about you, no matter what people say about you or no matter what you say about yourself…

Know that you may not trust yourself, but you must trust God!
Trust in him who said to you: you are my temple, I am with you.

This God is faithful in all that he declares.

Jesus doesn’t expect us to be clean or perfect, better at doing what we are supposed to do.
Jesus knows that we are sinners, and that we cannot become better people by ourselves. Only Jesus himself is able to transform us.

So I have to believe in everything that Jesus tells me, even if when I look at myself it seems incredible that I am the dwelling of God…
Indeed as the temple of God, Jesus is in it, and he will remove what he must remove, he will restore what must remain… He is sovereign.

The Lord wants us to be those who hope and decide on great things.
He does not want you to condemn yourself to the point of disqualifying yourself.
Jesus came so that we could begin a relationship with him.

Well liked consider this:

If Moses was perfect, God would never have called him.
And when God called him, He knew everything about him. (Exodus 3)
God knew his weaknesses, but he called him.

In the same way, He knew that Paul was a murderer, but He called him.
God does not look at what we are, but to call us God looks at what he is able to do, what he is.
To be the temple of God is a great grace.

In our generation,

** Believing that God is in heaven, that heaven is in heaven… Everyone believes in it, even the pagan.

** When it is said that God is with you, it is less clear, almost 50% do not believe it.
For many will ask the question if God is with me, why this or that, why this calamity, this situation, etc.

** And when you get to the level of believing that Jesus is inside of you, in you.
This truth is the most difficult to accept.

When God is in you, he does not bring sadness, sickness, bitterness, depression, calamity.

But on the contrary, if God is in you, and you accept him, then a true relationship begins, a relationship of love, peace and joy between you and him.

Grace is a person, in the person of Jesus.

When grace is in you, you cannot lack anything.

And moreover, you must realize that when God is in you, your enemy looks at you and flees….

Indeed, let’s remember that after the people of Israel crossed the Red Sea, their reputation preceded them in all the surrounding regions, even though there was no radio, television, internet or cell phone at that time.
The inhabitants of the neighboring countries trembled before them without even having seen them.

Joshua 2:9-11
9 and said to the men: “I know that the LORD has given you the land, that the terror of you has fallen on us, and that all the inhabitants of the land are fainthearted because of you.
10 For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were on the other side of the Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed.
11 And as soon as we heard these things, our hearts melted; neither did there remain any more courage in anyone because of you, for the LORD your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.

We must not be religious, but true Christians, disciples of Jesus.

Don’t condemn yourself, don’t look at your past, look at Jesus in you.

Trust him.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.

God’s purpose is that no one should perish.

This means that He has all the solutions, all the remedies, for all possible cases, whatever your path.

** What to do then?

Accept this truth, Jesus is in you! And you can contemplate it in yourself.

Psalm 63:3
So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory.

The psalmist contemplates God in the sanctuary… How does he do it?
Through his mind, he uses his perception to contemplate God.
It is not about the physical sanctuary.

David contemplated God, he and God in his sanctuary and he contemplates God.
It seems mysterious or just imagination… But that is the step of faith.

In the new covenant, if you only contemplate God in the sanctuary of the church, you will have difficulties. While your body is the sanctuary of God.
So you have to perceive yourself and Jesus. And so, you must rely on Jesus who is in you, to pray, to praise, to make statements…
