Summary of the preaching

Sunday, March 5, 2023 – Apostle Billey.

  • John 8:51

Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he shall never see death.

  • John 6:47-48

47. Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.

48. I am the bread of life.

If a person will never see death, it is because he has eternal life.

When the sun rises, it is for a reason, it is not for pleasure – it has a mission.

God made everything for a purpose.

In the same way, there is a reason why Jesus came to earth.

And he tells us if anyone keeps his word, he will never see death.

When Jesus says in truth, in truth, it is a foundation of truth – non-negotiable.

Thus, for the Christian, the definition of death changes.

John 8.51 If anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.

This means that what man calls death is not the same for God.

God has the truth and is the truth, it is He who has the knowledge, so we must take His definition.

Knowing that God existed before everything else, we must trust Him and everything He tells us is the truth

John 6:33. For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.

35 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life.

** How can we receive this bread?

Jesus existed before anything else and he is the bread – and we know that bread is eaten.

He says whoever eats his word – he will never see death.

The bread here is Jesus himself, which means that it has nothing to do with physical bread, but rather with what is in Him.

** How should we eat the bread that is the word?

This bread is not the body of Christ, but all that he says – all that comes out of him – all that his mouth says.
Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears my word and believes in him who sent me has eternal life.
So it is by listening and accepting with the heart that we receive life.

John 6:47. Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.

** How to have this eternal life?

John 6:48. I am the bread of life.
John 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever;

We must be aware that the life of man is in him – that is why the word must penetrate us so that we may have life.

John 8:51
Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he shall never see death.

** Why did Jesus say this?

Just look at the journey of a person who converts:
Before he was a Christian, he was a sinner and therefore dead in the eyes of God, even though he was physically active; for the wages of sin is death.
And when he became a Christian, Jesus gave him his word – the word of God which is life, the bread of life.
So when this Christian receives this word in his heart, it means that he receives life.

Between life and death, what is more powerful?
This is life – for it is Jesus who has conquered death.

The word is invisible, the soul of this Christian is also invisible although his body is certainly visible.
Therefore, when he receives the word, it is his soul that receives life.
Now Jesus is in heaven – that means that whoever receives Jesus, the bread of life, the word of God – his place is also in heaven.
Thus, if one keeps his word, he will never see death.

We must therefore understand that for Christians, physical death is not death.

All those who have tasted heaven have never wanted to return to their bodies to come back to earth, no matter what the treasures of this earth.
Also, as long as you have life in you, you will finish all your days on earth before leaving. You have nothing to fear – if Jesus wants you to live 100 years, you will live 100 years.
Moses at the age of 120 was still very strong, because the word of God was his strength.

Jesus conquered death. The fear of physical death should never be in the heart of a Christian.

The one who is afraid, it means that he does not have the word in his heart.
Do not let the devil’s thoughts rule you, do not let his lies manipulate you, but let the word of life rule you.

Receive and keep your heart in the word every day – keep this life in your heart, keep this glory in you. Walk with confidence, you must fulfill your days – it is the word of God that gives strength.

When you have the word in you, if the wizard swallows you – he will vomit you. If the snake swallows you – it will vomit you. Why? Because it is God himself who is in you through his word.

It is wonderful to be in Jesus.
