Summary of the preaching

Friday, September 22, 2023 – Apostle Billey.

Words are essential, because without them, humanity cannot change.

He who is sick, for him to heal – he needs the word.
Whoever is in a spiritual prison, the word must be accepted in his heart – so that he can be free.
The one who is cursed and knows it – for there to be a change – this person would have to learn to accept the word. Otherwise, nothing will change in his life.

Coming to church isn’t Christianity, it’s more than that. You have to give your heart entirely to Jesus, and learn to submit to his instructions.

It’s important to know this: when someone comes to church because of their difficulties, the people praying for them actually stand on the word to pray.

It’s not about prayer alone, but a prayer based on the foundation of the word.
If you want to get out of your condition of sinfulness, poverty, difficulties… – it’s the word first, then prayer follows.

Nothing is impossible for God, you just have to have his word in your heart.
God’s word is powerful!

9/ We are born again by receiving the word.

Why is God’s word powerful? What happens when you receive the word?
We are regenerated, that is, changed – transformed. Indeed, regeneration is synonymous with change.

1Peter 1.23
having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,

For those who have received the word, a change takes place.
The one who was cursed, through the word, becomes blessed.
He who was not a child of God becomes a child of God…

John 1.12-13
12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:
13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

This word is not a decision of man, but a sovereign decision of God – a decree.

Beloved, if you have the impression that you’re always at the same stage, that you’re going round in circles, that it’s difficult to accomplish what you’re supposed to do, then know that it has to do with the way you receive the word.
Indeed, it is not enough simply to believe and declare God’s word for it to be manifested.
But the manifestation of what you declare is conditional on the true acceptance of God’s word in your life.
That’s why the Word came into this world.
It is written in

John 1.3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

So, if you want to have joy, know that it was created by the word.
If you want peace, elevation, victory, wealth or anything else, know that it’s the word that created everything.
Be careful, you can only receive everything through the spoken word.
It’s no use dreaming by declaring things and saying it’s by faith that you have them. And even very long prayers – with periods of fasting.
However, the truth is that if you don’t have the word – it won’t work, nothing will manifest, because faith must be founded and sustained on the word.

If a human being receives the word – he will become a child of God, for the word connects us to God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus is the firstborn, so whoever knows how to receive the word will automatically become a child of God, for the word of God is alive.

James 1.18
Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.

The word is alive and sharp, transforming us every time we receive it.
When God speaks of forgiveness, of salvation, and I receive the word, I become forgiven, I obtain salvation.
The same applies to blessing, healing, deliverance…
So every word I receive I have to keep, and they become my new identity.
Indeed, the word, by connecting us to God, enables us to be strong in this world.
God the Holy Spirit can do nothing to help the one who refuses the word.
That’s why the Holy Spirit will first convince the person to accept the word. He can only help through words.

10/ The word of God is food for our souls

Mat, 4.4

But He answered and said, It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’

He who does not eat the word will be weakened. Physical food doesn’t send someone to heaven. What sends us to heaven is the consummation of God’s word.
And if you don’t change by accepting the Word into your life – your life will always be in danger. Because it’s giving the enemy a large percentage to reach us for hell instead of giving the Holy Spirit the opportunity to lead us to heaven.

Job 23.12
I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.

God’s word to us is like fuel to a car. It is through God’s word in me that the Holy Spirit will be able to work in my life.

If the word can make me a child of God, that means that through that same word I can be delivered, healed, strengthened…

Deut. 8.3
So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.

At one point, the Lord deprived the people of Israel of physical food to make them hungry so they could understand that physical food was not the essential.

So our goal must not be, to run after physical food; but we must run after everything that comes out of God’s mouth, which is spiritual food.

Sometimes when some Christians refuse/neglect the word, the Lord may allow them to go through certain difficulties in their lives.

And so they start going round in circles in their lives – and when they call on the Lord – nothing changes – because they haven’t accepted the word. They don’t keep it, they don’t practice it. Yet they think they have the word inside them because they’ve simply heard it. Brothers, that’s not enough.

Indeed, some Christians don’t understand that the word is not dissociated from God; and when asked if Jesus had returned within the week – would they have gone with him? All answer “yes”.

However, when asked to explain or recall the word studied – given by the Lord in previous weeks; very few remember it – or are unable to respond coherently.

How can you imagine not keeping your word, but still going to heaven?

That’s not possible, because it’s God’s word that leads to heaven.

So how do you eat the word?
We eat by accepting the word in our heart to practice it.

Beloved, the word of God delivers from lack of prayer, laziness, anger, covetousness, lies, gluttony…
How is this possible? When I accept God’s word and practice it.

So every time I practice the word I’ve received, I’m delivered.
In this way, I become more and more like Jesus.

So if I happen to need a bar of gold, since I’m keeping my word, the Lord will give me what I ask for.
Why? Because I’m already in his image. When he gives me, God is really giving himself. To receive from Jesus, you have to have Jesus in you.
However, if I reject his Word – how can the Lord hear me?

The Word of God we receive conditions our spirit.

To reject the word is to reject strength – it is to deny one’s life – it is to deny the glory of God and it also means that one does not love God.

If someone isn’t moving forward, it’s because he’s neglecting the word. But those who receive the word, they change, they are transformed because they seek to understand the mysteries of God’s word.

Beloved, the word you receive – you must accept it and let that word manifest itself. Then you’ll have the joy, the peace, the strength, the blessing…that flow from this word.

So, if God’s word is in you, what are you going to miss?
