Summary of the preaching
Sunday, March 26, 2023 – Apostle Billey.
John 1
1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 It was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
It is written: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
In the beginning of what?
In the beginning of all things – before all things….
Before the world was created – before the human being was created – the word was already there.
Who then was with God in the beginning? The Word
The word is above everything.
All things were made by it – nothing was made without it.
Jesus is the foundation – he is the word.
He is therefore above all that exists.
John 8. 51 Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.
** But where should we receive and keep the word?
In our hearts.
This means that not to receive the word is to oppose God, to resist life.
But if you resist the word, how will you receive your deliverance, healing, or restoration? How can you receive strength?
We need to understand this seriously.
Why?
For the word of God is our connection with God.
And be sure, when you receive the word in your heart – whatever the obstacles – the situations – the Lord will free you, because God is able to deliver you in seconds.
When God speaks and you receive in your heart then your connection with God will be deeper and deeper and truer.
John 1.
1…..And the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
The word is therefore the power of creation.
So, without the word – nothing would have been created.
“Listen to the testimony of a 45-year-old sister who was not married. And out of desperation, she was convinced by another sister in her church to go see a marabout.
When the latter saw him… He asked him where you come from? What are you doing here? Your God is greater than my god.
And the next Sunday, when she went back to church she was deeply troubled and realized that God truly loves her.”
Beloved, this sister did not listen to the word of God with her heart.
It is very important to listen to God with your heart, because his word has the power of creation, restoration, healing, deliverance…!
John 1. 12
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name
How does one become a child of God?
What should we receive? The word
By receiving the word – and this with all our heart – it allows God to give us the possibility of becoming a child of God.
The word is our connection with God.
There is nothing else possible to do or use to meet and connect with God…
What else could you do? or use: do you know God’s address – could you send him an email – is there a place where you can see him?
It is only possible to be truly connected to God through his word.
So if you receive the word in your heart, your life will totally change, the light will enter your heart.
** Jesus himself said that he is the light – why? Because he has his Father’s word. And the word is light.
** How to become light too? By receiving the word in your heart
So what should your confession be? How should you look at yourself?
You must have the assurance that you are a child of God – this assurance comes from the word you have received with all your heart. Then you know that you are forgiven and truly accepted by God – declared a child of God.
John 1.13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
The word is the light. It is through the word of God that we become children of God.
It is not a negotiation, nor a human decision.
God himself has decided that all those who accept the word of God are children of God.
What binds two people who are married is the word they have exchanged.
If the word exchanged between two humans can last for many years.
How much more so, the word given by God… It holds for eternity!
John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
The word is Jesus. He has everything in him – authority, life, strength, power, healing…
Those who receive it are then delivered, healed, liberated, restored…
So every time Jesus speaks the darkness flees…
What is darkness? Fear, illness, death, sadness…
And so by his word, Jesus puts the seed of life in you every time you receive him.
** Intimacy with God is proportional to your way, your level of receiving God’s word.
Jesus lived on earth – ministered for three and a half years and then died and rose again.
Then he went back to heaven. If Jesus has gone to heaven and we can no longer see him physically, what is left then?
This is his word.
So where is Jesus now?
In us, in you – through his word.
You must perceive Jesus in you – see him in you
You must not see him through an image – but through his word.
This is how you become his dwelling place, and even a powerful instrument in his hands… For those around you.
Beloved, you are not just anyone – that’s why you can cast out a demon, pray and the sick are healed ….
So be firm – Any thought / word contrary to the word of God, you must reject and destroy that, for it is a lie.
When you drink a medicine – it goes into you. So if you eat the word of God – it also enters you.
We know that the body of Christ is the Christians –
But how is this possible? By his word in us.
Did you receive the word?

Lord Jesus, you are my Lord.
You have the power against everything that rises in me against you: against fear, distraction, sadness, against illness, against the spirit of control…
My God, I belong to you, it is you who redeemed me.
May all ignorance attached to my life be destroyed.
May all darkness of doubt be killed.
May your word be the foundation of my life, my home, my family…
