Summary of the preaching
Sunday, June 11, 2023 – Apôtre Billey.
Isaiah 55:3
Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you; The sure mercies of David.
God created everything, even the pagans their bodies was created by God.
But for those who are converted – God, in addition to having been created, dwells in each of his children.
God has no intention of killing you or making you weak. So listen carefully to His voice, so that you can hear and accept His word.
Know that each time you receive his word, you will grow stronger and bolder.
Prov 18. 10
The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.
Someone’s name is linked to what lies behind it – position, ability to do something…
It’s important to understand all that’s behind the name God: unlimited power, authority, Creator of all that exists…
It’s essential to have God inside you, and that’s a great blessing.
It is written that the name of the Lord is a strong tower, and it is this same God who is in you.
Beloved, he in whom God/the name of God is found – then he is safe.
Don’t take it lightly that God lives in you.
It’s a great blessing. What’s more, if God dwells in you, the enemy will fear you.
Philippians 2.9-11
9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
In this world, learn to see Jesus in yourself… This must become a reality for you.
The more you look at it, the stronger you get.
It is in his name that we do all things, sleep, eat, work, cook….
And it is also in his name that we have dominion over every demon, every evil power…
Know that from this day forward, you can disconnect yourself from any demon, any familiar spirit, any spirit of sorcery that had dominated your family, and have victory over them.
Jesus came to earth to help you make it easier, and to give you victory.
That’s why you must have absolute faith in God’s word.
Because once you’ve accepted the word, the spirit of that word will connect you, freeing you from any evil bond.
The 1st sky is the one we can see with our own eyes – including where planes, satellites, rockets… move around.
Demons, dominations, authorities…. live in 2nd heaven
The 3rd heaven is where God is. It’s impossible to get there by natural means – only Jesus can take us there.
And true children of God have access to this heaven.
Jesus is inside you…so it’s not possible for you to be depressed, sad, bitter…
Learn to see Jesus, don’t look at yourself or at situations, otherwise you’ll see failure, impossibility…
Look to Jesus.
The day you look at yourself for victory – you’re going down. But by looking to the name of Jesus – you will always have victory.
** the name of Jesus also works underground.
The world of the dead – those who died without Jesus are all there…
Because Jesus is in you – you can talk and things become normal. That’s why we need to pray.
Ps 24.3-4
3 Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His holy place?
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully.
You were born to walk with God. Don’t forget you’re God’s temple.
And to walk with God, you have to be in covenant with Him.
When we speak of a mountain, we’re not talking about a physical mountain, as in the Old Testament.
Here, we’re talking about God’s excellent – glorious – profound – very elevated powerful presence.
It’s the place where you can arrive to have a deep and total intimacy with God.
So it’s something we must deeply desire.
So, to arrive on the mountain – is to give the person the opportunity to be in a position of victory, of authority of domination – not dictated by man, but dictated by God himself.
Very often, too, it evokes a state of youth and prayer.
To access this spiritual mountain, you can be in your living room, bedroom…
In the physical world – of course, climbing a mountain and reaching the summit requires effort.
If you’re going to climb a mountain, you need to have a goal, because you’re going to have to be tough and brave, otherwise you’ll get discouraged.
And the goal has to be big and well-defined.
Indeed, there are barriers, obstacles, risks, possibilities of collapsing, falling and hurting yourself, being hit by stones…
So it is with the spiritual mountain, because of the goals you’ve set for yourself, and the goals God has given you.
To climb/arrive at the mountain of God :
– You have to sacrifice certain things;
– Obstacles and barriers to overcome;
– There are things you have to let go of – things you have to remove from your life;
– Other things you now need to consider more.
You have to be determined, brave, courageous…
God wants us to be heroes.
A lot of people admire and want to be players – such as Ronaldo, Messi, etc.
All over the world – their names invoke something…
But they achieved this notoriety through personal sacrifice, through a great deal of sacrifice.
When they made these sacrifices, no one saw them – but with courage, they trained while others slept, ate, went to nightclubs… They trained.
They stayed focused on their goals – so they succeeded in being winners.
For us who are God’s temple, our goal must be to walk with God.
It requires you to be different from the others, it requires as much or more sacrifice than for soccer heroes.
Nothing is free on this earth.
** Let’s take the case of fasting –
You may encounter obstacles such as: your work, laziness, fatigue, hunger, sleep, headaches, heaviness when praying, and even the attitude of your loved ones…
It’s all part of the struggle – there’s an effort you have to make to get to the mountain.
Whether it’s day or night – in your bedroom, your living room… – you have to keep moving.
God gave us time, the days we live, every day that passes – it’s all about moving forward.
A day has 24 hours – every hour is an opportunity to cry out to God to help us climb that mountain.
We spend a lot of time on secondary and sometimes even trivial things.
We must learn to seek God first.
Then we must decide that our relationship with Him is our priority.
For example, decide to work by praying/talking to God continually in your heart.
You may encounter all kinds of barriers, but you need to know that this is normal.
On this earth, there will always be barriers to overcome; only in heaven will there be none.
** What to do then?
You have to keep moving forward-you can’t stop.
Beloved, if God is truly your goal, you’ll get where you want – you’ll triumph, because you’ll do whatever it takes to get there.
You have the strength, the power within you through Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Luke 10.19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
You must be a man/woman of prayer.
Every day is a new day – you mustn’t decrease in the intensity of your prayer.
There are things to leave behind, sacrifices to be made.
Don’t rely on the prayer you prayed yesterday – pray another one the next day; for every day is different.
When there are obstacles, remember that Jesus is in you.
And every time you do something to overcome a barrier, you’re one step closer to the throne of glory.
An easy victory no longer has the same value. When achieving something requires effort, then the more beautiful and valuable the victory.
Jesus, our model, renounced/removed all things, made extreme sacrifices…And then received the name above every name.
** How do you get to this mountain?
You must remove everything in your life that is not of God…
– Have innocent hands.
Hands are made for doing innocent things. This means, for example, that you don’t use your hands to masturbate, to steal or to perform magic.
A lot of the sins you do – you use your hands, yet your hands don’t belong to the devil but to God. So we don’t have to
use what belongs to God for evil. It’s not good for us – let’s get out of this corruption.
God is great – you must seek him – love him. Our hands belong to him – he created us – let’s honor him.
– A pure heart
A pure heart is more than asking God for forgiveness – it has nothing to do with sanctification.
It’s a heart where God has the right place – the highest place.
A pure heart honors God, it doesn’t go against God – it submits totally – God is honored in this heart.
A heart that believes that money is the only way to pay for loans, food, clothing or any other need it may have.
could have – it’s not a pure heart.
– Don’t surrender your soul to lies
A lie is anything that isn’t true.
For example, God tells you something and you don’t believe it – that means you’re tying your soul to a lie.
The devil’s strategy is to exalt you – by telling you that you’re not a sinner, that you’re just, you’re very good… Then your soul becomes a soul of lies.
Every spirit of falsehood is also a spirit of idolatry.
You have to throw away/destroy all these things.
– And who doesn’t swear to deceive.
He who swears to deceive, wants absolutely to be believed – it’s a spirit of pride, and even of lying too.
Whoever wants to climb the mountain must humble himself.
For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. (Luke 14.11 )
Let’s not forget that the purpose of our 65 days of youth and prayer is to learn to walk with the Lord.
Every day that God grants us is a blessing for us.
So your way of thinking, your decisions, your actions must be in tune with God all day long.
Practice this and you’ll be victorious in your daily walk.
