Summary of the preaching
Sunday, April 17, 2023 – Apostle Billey.
1 Corinthians 6:19
Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
Passover is deliverance, it is the destruction of the works of darkness where the Lord frees his children, sin is removed. It was sin that separated man from God; when this sin is removed by the power of the blood of Jesus.
Then there is reconciliation between us and God.
Indeed, Passover is the repositioning, Jesus repositioned those who were defeated.
Christians must always be victorious, because the Lord Jesus has given us the victory.
It was ignorance that led to sin. That is why we must go to Jesus. He is the knowledge, he is the Truth.
Knowledge is power; ignorance makes you weak.
The more we understand this, the more the Lord will work in our lives.
The Lord makes us strong so that we can make other people strong too.
** After Passover, what should we do?
When the disciples became children of God, they needed to be oriented, directed, helped…
After the resurrection of Jesus, the Lord stayed with his disciples for 40 days. Then he left, asking them to do nothing until they received the Holy Spirit.
Ten days later, the Holy Spirit came.
And when the Holy Spirit came, despite the fact that the church was persecuted, they were not afraid, they stood firm in the face of all kinds of threats.
All they cared about was doing God’s will.
The enemy wanted to dominate them but they managed to have victory in all circumstances.
All this was possible for them because of the presence of the Holy Spirit in them.

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
We must know that it is the Holy Spirit who has enabled us to become Christians –
It is not possible to understand the way of Christ, because it is a mystery.
Without Him, it would have been impossible for us to understand the mystery of the cross, of the blood of Jesus…
The Holy Spirit does not speak of himself, he speaks of Jesus Christ; for what we need is the truth. And Christ is the truth.
The Holy Spirit has come to help us understand and walk in the truth.
What we need on earth is the truth – to have our sins forgiven and the Holy Spirit has come to help us.
** How does he do it?
It is important to know that we are born in Christ to carry the Holy Spirit.
Your body is created to receive the Holy Spirit.
A water bottle is created to carry water.
A house/apartment is built for human beings to live in.
Likewise, you are the temple of the Holy Spirit!
The temple of God is made for God to dwell in and God must dwell in his temple.
It is not an intellectual truth, it is a spiritual truth – you have to accept this in your heart.
John 10:38
But if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.
Here the Lord Jesus reveals that he is not alone. The Father is in Him.
So it is because the Father was in Jesus that he was able to do the works he did.
If the sinless Lord Jesus needed his father – how much more so do we?
So we too need to be inhabited by the same spirit as Jesus.
The body that Jesus had, when he was on earth, was the temple of God.
It’s the same for you – it’s the same for every born-again Christian.
So everything that Jesus did, the Father did through him.
So if the Father is in you, the Father’s character must also be manifested and the world will be saved.
God’s character, everyone likes that.
Everything GOD created, everyone loves it –
So we have this challenge – to let the character of God in us show.
John 14:10
Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.
The Lord Jesus himself needed to carry his Father, in order to be able to do what he did.
And should we neglect the presence of God in us?
Neglecting God’s presence in us is catastrophic: the world will see us, but not God, the world will listen to us, but not God, because we will be disconnected from the Lord.
That is why when we are converted, we must learn to develop the presence of God within us.
You must use your soul to pray, to preach, to practice, to raise God in you.
For the real blessing is on the inside – God deposits on the inside.
And if we understand these things, we will always be healthy spiritually, and even physically. God is never sick.
If God is in you, you will never fail – because God does not fail.
If God is in you, you will always be strong.
This does not mean that the Christian will never feel a weakness, but it will pass quickly, because you are the temple of God!
John 14:20
At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.
Jesus is in you – you must not listen to this truth intellectually, but spiritually.
God does not lie, one cannot be smarter than God. Everything he says, there is no debate about it. Everything he says is always to our advantage.
We are created to be inhabited by Jesus.
Jesus himself was inhabited by the Holy Spirit.
So we must understand that our relationship with God is very important.
There is so much to know about Him. God is not limited.
So we need to develop this relationship.
We must always go deeper to know God.
You should never be satisfied with what you think you already know.
Problems in the home, divisions, confusion in our lives, depression, distraction, chaos….
All this comes about because of the absence of Jesus in us.
When Jesus is inside – there is peace, joy, love, abundance, blessing…For He is the Prince of peace, of joy, the Word, the Restorer, the way, the Truth, the Life, …
Man has no problem believing that God is in heaven, or next to him, but it is difficult to believe to accept that God is in him.
Know that if you belong to Jesus, he is really in you.
You can worship him, pray to him, praise him knowing that he is inside you.
CThis is a truth that you must accept.
Look at yourself as a temple of God, for Jesus is in you.

Lord Jesus, I need you.
I need more of you in me.
Jesus, you are powerful.
You are my redeemer, you are my strength.
You are my Lord, you are so great, so beautiful so powerful.
You are my light Lord.
My king and my savior,
I am the temple of God
I submit my life totally to you.
