While people sleep, the enemy comes to sow tares, as Matthew 13 reveals.

Matthew 13

24 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.

25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.

26 But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.

27 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?

28 He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’

The field represents our lives, the church, the world.

The bad seed, the tares, is everything that is dirty, everything that is evil, sin.

The Lord arms us, so that we can pursue the enemy until we strike him down. Ps 18:37-41.

We are redeemed and belong totally to the Lord Jesus, 1 Corinthians 6:20.

God is holy and heaven is pure. There is no sin in heaven because of God’s holiness.

On the other hand, hell is dirty. There is only sin and sinners in hell, those who have refused to live the life of holiness on earth.

On this earth, there are two groups, evil and good. And we decide to do either good or evil. God, who created everything, wants us to live as He wills, so that we may be with Him for eternity.

So every day on earth is a battle, and the Christian must be aware of this.

In Matthew 13, the devil came to sow tares during sleep. In Matthew 13, the devil came to sow tares during sleep. Not physical sleep, but spiritual sleep.

Someone can be awake, and even go to work, but spiritually be asleep.

Spiritual sleep is when we don’t pay attention to what God says, neglect the word of life or don’t practice it. In the same way, when he who does not run after God, who neglects personal prayer at home, who does nothing to grow, who is not aware that the devil seeks to destroy, then it is said that this Christian sleeps.

Those who are asleep cannot react when attacked, as they are not conscious.

So, while we sleep, the enemy can pollute our lives in a variety of ways:

– pollute by his voice when he speaks,

– pollute the Christian’s mind, understanding and vision, dreams and thoughts.

– pollute the Christian’s heart and sensitivity to the Word of God and the Holy Spirit.

– pollute the Christian’s body through impure relations with demons in dreams.

That’s why, when a Christian wakes up, he has to pray to disinfect himself.

The enemy can also bewitch.

  • By eating or drinking; and also when the Christian sees himself eating or drinking in dreams, these are bewitchments.
  • Through the air, the enemy makes us see things, by day or in sleep, that are not to the glory of God.
  • It bewitches the senses with what it makes people listen to.
  • It pushes, in dreams or physically, to participate in things that are not to the glory of God: this is bewitchment.

So, in the same way that we shower every day, so spiritually, the Christian must depollute himself, cleanse himself every day.

Repentance is a blessing for our lives, a great daily opportunity. So we have to strip ourselves down every day.

After our activities, for example when we get home from work, we have to systematically strip ourselves.

Let’s face it, when we leave our homes, there are things we see that have been programmed by the dark world to capture the Christian’s attention. In order to use them against this Christian during the night.

Redeemed by God, we have to be careful what we see, hear, eat or drink.

The more the Christian progresses, the more the darkness will seek to sully him; it’s a daily battle.

Our body is a temple, so there must be altars. But these must not be altars of the devil, but altars of God. Consequently, diabolical altars must be destroyed.

  • Destroy every strong man, every altar belonging to him built against you. Sometimes we see a giant in our dreams, a strong man to be destroyed, who may come either from ancestral spirits or from the waters. Mark 3.27.
  • Destroying the altar of anger is very important. Ephesians 4.31.
  • Destroy the altar of emotional manipulation. Philippians 4:6-7.
  • Destroy the altar of doubt and failure in your lives. James 1.6-7.
  • Destroy the altar of slowness. If you find that you’re spiritually slow, it’s because there’s an altar of slowness against you. For example: During preaching, you take notes and you understand, but you don’t practice.
  • Destroy the altar of discouragement and frustration. Discouragement is the symptom of someone who is weakening. The discouraged Christian can no longer fight. But on this earth, there are battles every day.
  • Destroy the altar of drought. When you want to pray and it’s like you don’t know what to say. This altar of spiritual dryness must be destroyed. As well as the financial drought.
  • Destroy the altar of worry. Psalm 55:22; 1 Peter 5:7
  • Destroy the altar of fear. Fear of the devil, fear of illness, fear of death… Isaiah 41:19.
  • Destroy the altar of pride. Proverbs 11:2, Proverbs 29:23
  • Destroy the altar of lust of the eyes and the flesh. 1 John 2:15-16.
  • Destroying the altar of poverty.
  • Destroy the altar of rejection.

All these altars are altars of the devil, built while we sleep or during the day. They’re built to keep you from glorifying God.

But when we accept the fact that we belong to the Lord Jesus, it’s very easy to destroy, standing on that foundation.

So remember that you belong to Christ 100%, see yourself that way, seek God’s interest, for you must glorify God in everything. And then you destroy them in the name of Jesus.

Redeemed of God, put these arsenals in your life and destabilize the works of darkness every day.
