John 8. 36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

When the Lord Jesus gives us an instruction, it’s a goal to achieve.
As the Christian takes the path of this instruction, is Jesus with him as he begins to walk? Yes.
Because Jesus is always with us.
Every Christian needs to know that Jesus is always with him, always. He’s there every hour, every minute, every second, even though he can’t physically see him. For Jesus can never abandon those who belong to Him.

Jesus loves us so much, that’s why He went to find the two disciples on the road to Emmaus, to lead them back from the wrong path they were on. Indeed, Jesus is the good shepherd. [John 10.11]

The Christian must therefore be focused and have his mind’s eye constantly on Jesus as he moves forward. He must convince himself, preach to his soul, remind himself of God’s promises. In obedience, he must speak to the Lord, and even sing, praise the Lord, glorify Him.
At what point can discouragement set in during a Christian’s walk?
If he takes his eyes off the Lord Jesus.
He’ll start to think: “It’s too long, it’s very difficult…” and hesitation will set in.

And Satan and his demons can also trigger this discouragement by giving the Christian some thoughts to prevent him from reaching the final destination by saying, “You’re too tired, you’re not going to make it, was that really the voice of Jesus?…”
Then the Christian can start asking questions, and this can create disobedience, rebellion and doubt.
Yet these evil thoughts do not come from the Christian, but from the kingdom of darkness.

It’s very important to know that while Satan was talking to the Christian, Jesus was also present. And he looked to the Christian to see what his decision would be.
And it happens every day. This is how we live the Christian life.

God created us with the free choice to decide. And the Lord always respects our decisions.
Some things we have to decide for ourselves. But we must do so according to the knowledge we have of God, as children of God. And even if we don’t know what to decide, we can let ourselves be advised.

Free choice is a blessing given to humanity by God, who created us in His image.

And this is where the temptation, the battle between soul and spirit takes place.
It was on this path that Eve found herself: the path of decision.
No one can live on this earth without passing through the path of decision. He will have to choose between good and evil.

And God wants us to always choose what’s right.

So how do you succeed, how do you reach your goal, how do you stay strong?

Always have God’s promises in your heart.
Don’t take your eyes off the goal, or Satan may turn you away.
Start to look forward to the end, even though you haven’t seen it yet.
