Apostle Billey.
Proverbs 23
26 My son, give me your heart, And let your eyes observe my ways.
Our thoughts and hearts must always be connected to God. When you do so, it scares off the enemy.
Let’s not exalt a problem by fixing our attention on it, our thoughts on that situation. This will prevent us from praising God and seeing His greatness.
The spirit is always ready. And it’s who the soul is that manages relationships between people and material, so every time a person thinks about the problem, they connect their soul to that problem.
The Christian will not be practicing the Word.
When the Christian lasts a long time in a situation, a problem, it’s because he’s neglecting the Word.
Proverbs 23.26 My son, give me your heart, And let your eyes observe my ways.
How to give your heart?
By giving everything inside the heart: thoughts, decisions, will, desires, perception, knowledge…
So when the Lord knocks on the door, through His Word, we must let Him in.
For example, if God says: It is not good to hate your neighbor.
So we must remove this from our hearts and throw it away.
Why should Christians do this? Because he wants to please his God.
Every time we open the door to the Lord, He’ll show us everything that’s wrong. And when it shows, we have to get rid of it through confession, repentance and renunciation.
Knowing that it is the soul that manages relationships between people and the material, the enemy has created things that touch on relationships and the material. And so it afflicts the heart by inspiring conflict between people, whatever the type of relationship. It leads to hatred, anger and unrest…
Thus, the person’s heart will not be pure unless he/she asks the Lord for forgiveness.
Sometimes Christians don’t open the door when Jesus knocks. And if he doesn’t, sometimes the Lord goes away altogether because of the sin in the person’s life.
Then sin will fill that Christian’s life, and may even lead to death.
This is what we call a lukewarm Christian, a carnal Christian.
What is a spiritual Christian?
It is the one whose spirit is willing and with a heart that seeks to please the Lord, renouncing sin to obey God.
Acts 9
3 As he was on his way to Damascus, suddenly a light from heaven shone around him.
4 Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”
5 And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.
6 So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
Saul/Paul had already killed some Christians and was on his way to kill more. But the Lord Jesus told him he couldn’t. For, Paul sought to stop Christianity by killing the body, by putting bodies in prison. But Christianity is spiritual, impossible to stop, and even more so in a carnal way.
How do we know that we have received what the Lord is saying to us in mind and heart?
Automatically, if the spirit and heart walk together to receive the Word, what Jesus came to do through His word will begin to manifest itself in the Christian’s life.
If you’ve received the Word in the spirit but the heart is slow, it means there’s work to be done.
How do I know if my heart is resistant?
By checking, for example: Do I feel concerned by the word? Am I distracted by my thoughts? Do I have doubt in my heart?…
If there are all these things in our hearts, then what Jesus came to do (through His Word) is not going to happen.
Paul, for example, in his encounter with the Lord, though a pagan, behaved as he should spiritually.
When he heard the voice, instead of fleeing, he did not.
Acts 9
4 Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”
5 And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.
He had hatred in his heart for Jesus, because for him, Jesus was not the Messiah.
But the Word that came to him, Paul received in his spirit and soul.
From that moment on, his life changed: he became a Christian.
6 So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
He didn’t see Jesus. He just heard a voice but he followed the instructions, he obeyed everything he was told by the Lord.
So when we hear God’s voice, for those who want to walk in the spirit, this is what we must do Knowing that every achievement, every blessing is found in the spirit, it is the spirit that commands over matter.
Those who live in the natural domain are easily manipulated.
But for those who walk in the spirit, it’s difficult, if not impossible, to manipulate them.
Those who walk in the spirit, when they arrive home, don’t throw themselves on the food and go to sleep.
But as soon as they arrive, they give thanks to the Lord and sanctify everything with prayer before eating and resting.
Those who don’t walk in spirit, when they have to go to work, for example at 7am, and they have an hour’s drive to get there. And having woken up at 6 a.m., in principle, they have no time to brush their teeth, take a shower, get dressed…
Despite this, they find the time to do all these things, but no time to pray. All their thoughts are on the material, on money, they forget that they are spirits.
This one is a carnal Christian. It cleanses the body, but ignores the mind.
Those who don’t want to grow in spirit, when they have dreams in which they see themselves eating, they wake up and it tells them nothing.
Beloved, you are a spirit, if you see similar things, you must react in spirit, you take your Sword, the Word, and you look for the one who did this, you cry out to God: “Lord, while the body was resting, this is what happened, now, my body, my soul, my spirit are yours, may the demon who did this, may the next night not find him, may he be destroyed!…”
There are other Christians who forget their dreams; they know they dreamt but don’t remember anything. And so on… Beloved, know that you are under control! Your enemy doesn’t want you to know, because if you know, you’ll pray, you’ll attack their works.
What do you need to do? Get up and pray. Your Lord is called the Light, Jesus is the light, and He is in you: “I am the light of the world, all that hides my dreams, all that is hidden in me, in my spirit be enlightened in the name of Jesus, may all the forces that hide to manipulate me be unveiled by the light of the Word of God…”.
A Christian who does this is said to be a Christian who lives.
Let’s not be ignorant, there are forces of darkness fighting against Christians.
Consider this:
You’re on your way to work, and one of your colleagues disrespects you, so you’re not happy…to the 3rd degree. Because you think you’re right, since it was this colleague who provoked you. What you don’t know is that it’s a plan to weaken you. It’s not about your colleague, it’s about mean spirits who don’t want you to move forward. So they push you to anger, so you can dirty your heart that Jesus cleansed with His blood. And they push this colleague against you, they manipulate him against you because he doesn’t have Jesus.
But, those who walk in Jesus, when they see this kind of provocation, they let it go, they don’t get angry, they understand that this anger must be directed against the spirits who have manipulated this colleague against them.
And it’s this spirit that we must see, otherwise we say the Christian is blinded.
Don’t fall into this trap again, ask for forgiveness, because you want to save this colleague, and the devil will bite his fingers off. You pray against this demon, against all darkness around you. And you pray for your colleagues because they need the light.
The devil doesn’t tempt or steal from anyone who has something. So when he tempts you, it’s so he can steal you.
The Christian is often only aware that he has been robbed, when his phone, his car, his money…and yet when you forget the Word it’s been stolen.
In the spiritual realm, God’s Word is our foundation, our life.
Everything we learn, that the Holy Spirit teaches us is more than gold, more than diamonds, more than 5 bags of diamonds, you must keep in your heart, don’t let yourself be robbed anymore.
IN THE NAME OF JESUS, Let Us Pray… →
Lord, you have redeemed me with your blood.
My spirit, my soul and my body belong to you.
I don’t belong to this world.
May Your Word be written on the tablets of my heart.
And don’t let her be stolen.
I declare that I am more than victorious.
In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
