Apostle Billey.

Man is composed of a spirit, a soul and a body.

Spirit and soul are spiritual. So it’s at the level of our spiritual being, our inner man, that the Holy Spirit can touch us.

We must therefore make sure that our hearts are pure, that we cleanse our hearts of all worry, fear, anger, sadness…

So we must keep the Word in our spirits and in our hearts; for both are nourished by the Word of God. And everything in us belongs to God.

In Jesus, it is possible for lost glory to be restored.

But how is this possible? Through the Word received in you.

God created Adam and Eve by telling them not to eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil because of who they are: spirits already connected to God. And just as a mother takes care of her children, so, or sooner still, did the Lord take care of Adam and Eve.

And He made it clear that the day they did, they would die. What kind of death are we talking about? Spiritual death.

On this earth, because of the Fall, because of sin, man is only concerned with his body.

Everything in this world is focused on the body. Nothing about spirit and soul.

This is how the serpent came to tempt Eve.

Genesis 3

4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die.

Beloved, any suggestion you hear, usually in the soul, to urge you to do evil, comes from the serpent. Even when you’re praying, the feeling of having finished the prayer, of being satisfied. Very often, it’s the enemy who prevents you from developing your prayer life.

So is any suggestion that keeps you from meditating on the Word.

The enemy can use all kinds of temptations.

For example, you decide to fast and then you’re pushed to go and eat, with a voice suggesting that it’s no big deal, you’ll fast the next day.

Or in the middle of preaching or praying, you feel the need to go to the bathroom, when in reality it’s not urgent. And those two minutes the devil steals are enough for him to hide.

When the enemy speaks, it’s as if he’s doing you a favor, as if he’s promoting you, it’s a voice that makes you think he wants you to be happy, that he’s defending you, that he knows what’s good for you…

Beware, the devil is a great liar, the father of all lying spirits.

That’s why Christians need to know how to discern everything they hear, everything that comes their way. That way, you’ll know how to preserve your soul.

If someone presents you with a dish, even though you’ve decided to fast, and you refuse, even though you’re hungry, you’ll be training your esprit to be responsible.

At the moment when you are supposed to pray, but feel sleepy, your heart tells you that your body is tired, if you manage to resist with your spirit and decide to pray anyway for thirty minutes, it’s a great victory.

If you’re driven to check your phone, sometimes even during prayer, you have to resist that. This refusal will educate your soul.

Genesis 3

5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

But Eve and her husband ate the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil.

And that day, God didn’t find them where they usually were.

9 Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?”

10 So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.”

For the first time, fear entered them. They saw themselves naked.

This is not physical nudity, but spiritual nudity.

It’s a mystery.

For we are clothed with the glory of God. [Psalm 8]

Adam and Eve were clothed with honor, power, the knowledge of God…everything that comes from God.

But when they listened to the serpent and obeyed him, then automatically their spiritual being was infected and they lost that glory. That’s how they saw each other naked and hid.

When someone no longer has the Word in him, in his soul and spirit, he is said to be naked. And even in his dreams, he’ll see himself naked.

This is how the serpent stole Adam and Eve’s glory, their power and their greatness.

We are clothed in God’s righteousness for Christ’s sake. When God looks at us, He sees Christ.

That’s why, when you receive the Word, you must do everything to keep it in your spirit and soul more than food.

This Word is your clothing, your glory, your authority, your connection with your Father; it’s your passport, your visa that gives you access to the Father’s heart at all times.

That’s why the devil fights the Word, he steals it when you don’t take care of it. He ensures that the Word does not have the right effect on the Christian’s heart. Because he knows that without the Word in him, the Christian will be manipulated.

Sometimes Christians listen to the Word on Sunday, they’re touched and by Monday they’ve already forgotten. What happened? The devil stole.

And if he manages to do it week after week, what will happen to that Christian?

Beloved keep the Word, repeat it in your heart. Even when you’re eating, you can pray in your heart.

This is how the connection with the Lord becomes excellent. And the enemy isn’t going to find a place to give his suggestions. Why? God’s temple will be occupied by His Word, His Presence.

Consider this:

An army colonel is dressed in his uniform with lots of stripes.

Beyond the uniform, he’s got something that makes his uniform worthwhile.

Before he received his stripes, a ceremony had to take place. The general must have told him: “From such and such a period, you become a colonel”. That’s the spirit. And if he loses that, he’s lost everything.

If he misbehaves, how can we expose him?

It’s possible when the general takes that away from him by speaking again, by dismissing him: “You’re no longer a colonel”. Then, from that moment on, he will lose his authority, his strength, his value, his position, his salary… That’s being naked.

We’re also going to take away his uniform. And even if we don’t, he won’t be able to do anything in that uniform. Because if he wears it anyway, we can arrest him and put him in prison.

To be naked is therefore to lose the word that has been received.

Adam saw himself naked because he let the devil steal the Word he had received.

This is why it is written in Luke 4.

5 Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

6 And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.

Who gave Satan this glory?

It’s Adam.

For example, if you’re a young Christian and you meet a young heathen, who’s always hanging around you. Know that he seeks to make you spiritually naked.

The devil runs after souls, to steal the Word to make them naked.

Brothers and sisters, you must listen to God’s voice with your spirit and soul. Whatever the devil wants you to understand, you tell him “Get away from me Satan!

You must not lose your glory, your identity, your strength, your power, your authority, your prayer life, your fire of prayer, your place in the Kingdom of God.

To do this, you have to keep what God has told you. To be a man/woman of prayer, walking according to God’s Word, seeking God. Love God, don’t love the world, and don’t love money more than God.

IN THE NAME OF JESUS, Let Us Pray… →

Lord, forgive me for all I have done against You.

May the blood of Jesus cleanse me completely.

From now on, may Your Word dwell in me always.

May the stolen Word be restored.

Any evil spirit that steals the Word in me be located and executed.

I get back the joy, the peace, the authority, the strength… that were stolen from me in Jesus’ name.

Lord, restore Your Word to my spirit and soul.

In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
