Apostle Billey
The truth sets us free. If we want to know the truth, we must go to Jesus and listen to Him. We must listen to the Holy Spirit.
Jesus said, “I am the truth…”. That’s the reality. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth.
God the Father is the source of all truth. Everything comes from Him.
Jesus is our Lord. He came into this world to show us the truth.
What is the opposite of the truth? The opposite of the truth is a lie.
A lie is a bond. But the truth sets us free. That is why Jesus is the truth.
He also said, “I am the light of the world…”
What is the opposite of light? Darkness. Through the Light, Jesus, we triumph over darkness.
We live in a world of conflict. The fight isn’t a physical one. It’s spiritual.
It all happens in the mind. This can manifest in the way we think—in terms of our perceptions, desires, the way we act, and the way we reflect…
God is the truth. It is the Lord who shows us how to reflect, how to think.
The stream of your thoughts can come either from God or from the enemy. Thus, the thoughts of the world will be thoughts of darkness.
John 14
30 I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has nothing to do with me.
Anyone who allows a lie to enter their mind is held captive. But when we connect with the Lord, we are set free.
The truth is what God says.
There are a lot of people who think the devil is very powerful—extremely powerful. It’s because of what the devil has put inside them.
As long as they continue to think that, they will not be able to act as God intends; until they receive the truth and realize that strength belongs to God—He is supremely powerful.
Whoever receives the truth from God will be set free. That’s what the battle is all about.
Beloved, what do you think? What’s your approach? What do you think? What’s your mindset?
All of these things demonstrate your position.
God wants us to take His side.
The battle began in heaven, in the world of the angels. Lucifer took his eyes off God; he became filled with pride, and he fell. And he was ejected.
God had seen into Lucifer’s heart when it was still just a tiny thought.
Why did God let this go on?
Everything is based on love. Love is a choice. The nature of God is love.
If someone is a CEO, it’s a title they can step down from at any time.
But God’s nature is love; in other words, that cannot be taken away from Him.
It was out of this love that God created all things, and He said it was good.
God created the angels; He created humankind and all things. God does not force anyone to love Him. Everyone—all of His creation—must do so of their own free will. Love is free.
Love in heaven is on a very high plane.
But Lucifer did the opposite. He took his eyes off God and began to admire himself—his beauty and worth. He forgot that it was God who had done that out of love. And so pride took hold of him.
Then he began to corrupt other angels.
When pride took root within him, God’s nature began to depart from him: he no longer had peace, joy, light, nourishment from God, or power.
He had completely fallen, so he could no longer remain in heaven. That is how all the fallen angels were cast out.
God created man to be higher than the angels. He created it out of love. God’s plan is like a family. So men must also love one another.
God does not force people to love Him either.
Satan came to tempt Eve and Adam by making them believe that they did not need God’s guidance.
Adam and Eve were then at a very important crossroads: whether to continue loving God or to do something else.
And every person makes this choice every day, knowing that some choices can cause us problems.
Adam and Eve made the wrong choice. They pushed God’s love to the back of their minds; they began to doubt God’s love.
That’s how they fell. And so man fell into darkness. And they lost everything.
Anyone who lives in ignorance will be subjugated by the world of darkness. But those who know the truth will easily stand firm with God’s spiritual weapons.
Some people are not as devoted to the Lord as God would have them to be because there are many things they do not understand.
We must understand in order to remain steadfast in the Lord.
The point of all this is not to glorify the devil, but to discover the truth in the face of this struggle. God alone must sit on the throne of our hearts.
When man fell, he died spiritually. For whoever sins is the one who dies. The man became very unhappy, so he must call upon God in order to find new life.
In this world, ever since the time of Adam, God has been showing His love. He could have stayed in heaven, doing nothing despite what was happening on Earth.
But because of His fatherly heart, He devised a whole plan to ensure that all of humanity would be saved.
It is only through Jesus that we can be saved.
All religions that teach otherwise need to be evangelized. The ways of men cannot save.
There’s a video going around right now showing people who dug up a skull and placed it inside a statue in a Catholic church, known as Mary Magdalene. And they started to worship it.
In principle, people should flee. But they’re still here.
But they are bound in chains, deaf and blind. They are victims of an organization.
The Bible says not to worship images or representations, but they do so publicly.
Beloved, only Jesus is able to save. That is the path of Jesus that we must follow.
If you are asked to pray in the name of anyone else, know that that name cannot save.
If that were something we were supposed to do, the Apostle Paul would have preached about it.
We belong to Jesus. We do not do what Jesus did not ask us to do. We do only what He tells us to do.
As Christians, we must show our love for God.
We, too, must not have anything of the world within us. We must love God; we must not pursue the things of this world. Whatever you have, use it to bless God. We must not develop a love for Mammon. It’s a trap for your soul.
John 14
31 But so that the world may know that I love the Father, and that I act in accordance with the command the Father has given me, let us get up and leave this place.
The Son loves the Father.
In heaven, when Lucifer began to do evil. God wanted Lucifer to repent, but he did not.
While Jesus was on earth, he continued to love the Father.
We, too, must love God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit with all our hearts.
Jesus acts only in accordance with the command His Father has given him.
Therefore, we, too, must do the same with regard to all the commandments He has given us.
For example, He told us to love one another; that is a command. Or to forgive one another—that is a commandment.
To pray without ceasing is a command. He told us to resist the devil so that he will flee from us.
These are His instructions. So we must follow all of these instructions. Those who do so will go to heaven.
We must not cooperate with the devil, neither in our thoughts nor in the way we speak.
We need to show that we understand.
There is a spiritual war in which the world of darkness seeks to capture souls.
But Jesus came so that we might understand what is happening and choose the path of life.
John 12
49 For I have not spoken on my own; rather, the Father, who sent me, has himself told me what I must say and proclaim.
Jesus is subject to His Father. He loves His Father.
In heaven, He is subject to His Father; on earth, too, He is subject to His Father. Despite all the temptations, He remained faithful to the Father.
The entire universe is in God’s hands. He holds a position of authority. He knows everything. He weighs everything; He sees everything.
The reason He does not speak, despite what He sees, is out of mercy and compassion. Because of His love.
He is patient, and He wants us to be patient as well. That’s how God sees things.
Anyone who rebels against God will spend all their time working to make money rather than seeking God.
Doesn’t God see him—see his heart? But He is patient.
Those who come to understand will seek and love God.
God is neither one of our coworkers nor our CEO. He is more than that. He is God. He is powerful and can do anything.
Our love shouldn’t be forced. But it must come from the truth.
God is the truth, His power, and His attributes. By knowing God’s heart—how much He loves us, how fully He is able to forgive us for every sin…
All these things should inspire us to love Him in return.
Consider this:
There was a guy who used to go to a restaurant every day at lunchtime. And this woman, a mother, used to make a lot of dishes with white rice.
And sometimes this is served with a sauce made with meat, fish, crab, or snails.
As soon as this lady saw him come in, she would start serving him everything he liked: white rice with the sauce of the day.
And one day, he went to that restaurant, and the lady wasn’t there. There was another woman in her place.
He asked where she was. He was discouraged; there was no one else who could serve him as efficiently.
The point is that, because of what this mother did for him, she had noticed what he liked and was happy to cater to his needs. This brother began to love her and treated her as if she were his own mother.
Beloved, what service does God do for you? If we could count all that He does for us, we would love Him.
The devil doesn’t want us to know that it is God who does everything for us.
It’s a battle. In each person’s perception.
It is God who does everything for us.
Some people might think that it’s with my money, my work, my food, my strength… that I do this or that.
That’s pride. And with a selfish attitude.
Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar. Give to God what belongs to God.
When a person refuses to give God what belongs to Him, it is because he has been manipulated by the world of darkness.
It is God who gives us the strength to do everything we do. When we sleep or wake up, we have strength; our memory is clear… It is God who has done this.
The blood flowing through our veins is God’s will. Red and white blood cells that function properly in the body. It is God’s grace.
Love must be genuine.
It usually depends on what the person has done.
Ignoring what God has done comes from your enemy.
The devil is jealous. What he left behind in heaven is simply too immense. So, he’ll try to make you forget what God has done for you.
That’s his plan for destruction, but what should you do?
When he tells you that God doesn’t love you, that He doesn’t answer your prayers, what should you do?
If you don’t stand up for yourself, if you don’t fight back, you risk accepting what he said. And between God and you, love will no longer exist.
We are fighting to maintain our standing in the Lord, to keep our momentum with God.
That is why we are told to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. And everything will be given to you on top of that.
Loving God is a decision we make. It is a deliberate act in which I choose to learn about, take stock of, and recognize—every day—what God has done, is doing, and will do for me.
And thinking about all of this keeps me in the Lord. It helps me love God more.
Many people focus only on their own desires. They do not see what God has done and continues to do.
And by doing that, you risk missing out on God’s plan.
The whole earth is in the Lord’s hands. God is in charge of our lives.
So our love for Him must be sincere.
If I’m angry with God, who loses out? It’s me.
When we sing, let’s do it with love. When we serve Him, let us do everything with love. And even when we serve our brothers, let’s show them our love.
God’s love within us also inspires us to love one another.
John 12. 49 For I have not spoken on my own; but the Father, who sent me, has himself told me what I must say and proclaim.
Has God ever told you what you should say, what you should proclaim to your brothers? Yes.
He told you that everything that comes out of your mouth should be for the edification of your brothers.
God has told you to forgive when someone offends you.
That is God’s way. That is how we stay on His path.
The spiritual battle in this area is this: If your brother or sister has offended you, what should you do? That is forgiveness. That is what it means to stay on God’s path.
That is exactly what Jesus did while He was on earth.
For life in Jesus is the same life we have.
So we must use this life to praise God the Father.
By doing so, the strength we find in life will enable us to live in victory and remain on God’s path.
You belong to Jesus; you do not belong to any human being. You belong to the Creator of the entire universe. When God looks at you, He sees you through the eyes of a Father.
He sees what you’re doing. He knows that you do things according to His will. Then He will help you, lift you up even more, and give you His strength… so that you can triumph over all the enemy’s schemes.
Don’t think that the Lord is absent from this earth, that He doesn’t see you. His eyes are on you.
Even when you’re asleep, He’s there. Even if you’re sleeping under your bed, He is there.
Let us love God; let us love His Word.
John 12
50 And I know that His commandment is eternal life. That is why the things I say, I say them just as the Father has told me.
God’s commandments must be within you, so when you see your brother, that is what you talk about and share. Just like at home.
Anything that goes against love does not accept it.
Proclaim the truth.
If you do all of this, you will see God’s glory in your life and in your home.
IN THE NAME OF JESUS, Let us pray… →
Lord Jesus, I belong to You.
The whole earth belongs to you.
I bless You for Your love for me.
Your life is within me.
I thank You for Your daily blessings.
Holy Spirit, help me to follow God’s commands every day.
In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
