1Thessalonians 5
23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ !
It’s very important to know the three parts of man and how they work, so as not to be manipulated by the world, so as to be victorious and keep your victory, your position in the Lord.
Others may think they have victory mentally, but in fact it’s mentally, not spiritually. It’s just the fruit of their thoughts, but their minds haven’t grasped it yet. And this prevents them from moving on to victory, because they already think they own.
The Christian life is 100% spiritual, a life lived in the spirit. Walking is also spiritual. It means knowing what the spirit is, so as to walk according to the spirit.
In John 4:23-24, the Lord Jesus said that the worshippers God desires are those who worship in spirit and in truth.
But if you don’t know your spirit, how can you worship Him? Rent it?
And Ephesians 6.12 says that our battle and our weapons are not carnal but spiritual.
We can’t physically see our weapons, but spiritually we have to see them.
Because you have to be able to see them to be able to use them, because the battle is spiritual.
Some people are unaware of the power attached to their thoughts.
And if you don’t know all this, the enemy will use it against you.
We are born again in the spirit to live according to the spirit.
He who understands the way of Jesus will conquer, and if he stays in the way, he will continue to conquer.
In the Christian life, we don’t pretend to have joy, faith or the Word. It’s what you see, what you touch, that you declare. Walking with Jesus is real.

How many games? spirit, soul and body must be preserved for the Lord.
When the Lord redeemed us, he did so entirely, with all 3 parts belonging to him: spirit, soul and body.
All those who refuse Jesus are in death. At night, they don’t sleep. During the day, their thoughts are troubled; they have no serenity for tomorrow, for true peace comes from God. They refused everything God freely gives.
Well-liked, if a person has been driving his car for 14 hours, for example. And around 8pm, as the daylight fades, he needs light to continue.
But if the driver doesn’t know how to turn on the headlights, he’ll have to stop.
If it rains, what will keep it going? It’s being able to use your windshield wipers. But if he doesn’t know how it works, he won’t be able to continue.
Which means that ignorance prevents us from moving forward.
The car contains everything we need to drive day and night, whatever the weather or the season. And what will enable the driver to move forward is the knowledge he has of the car, the control he has of the vehicle.
During the winter, some people don’t ride, but others do. All depending on the level of control they have over their cars.
God created us spirit, soul and body, and each element is very important for victorious living. Each element plays a role, so not knowing one of them will create ignorance. This will lead to weakness in the Christian’s life, which in turn will be exploited by the enemy.
The role of the mind is to manage spiritual things. He specializes in relationships with God. He must therefore be in constant contact with the Lord, listening to Him, worshipping Him… He must not be confused…
The soul’s role is to manage relationships of all kinds between people (husband/wife, brother/sister, colleagues, parent/child…).
When man and woman decide to unite, their souls become one, and God sees only one person.
And the soul also manages material things: for example, it’s the soul that chooses the clothes we wear. It manages everything to do with the body, as this is the physical, material realm.
When the spirit and soul leave the body, it collapses.
The soul chooses the garment for the body according to the desires registered inside the soul.
When a relationship isn’t going well, and there’s anger. Where will the anger begin? In the soul/heart.
Because anger is about a person, a relationship, and it’s the soul that deals with that.
When you want to change the paint or decor of your home. What do we want? Here again, it’s the soul and not the body.
Although the body takes part in the work, and is active in everything that needs to be done by going out to buy paint…it’s the soul that manages everything.
When you want to eat, and you’re hungry. Is it the spirit, the soul or the body that’s hungry? It’s the body that’s hungry (or thirsty), but it’s the soul that manages its need.
If you go into a fast-food restaurant, you’ll look at the menu and then choose. It’s the soul that checks the information that’s already engraved inside in terms of desires and tastes. So the soul chooses according to what’s stored inside us.
How did the devil manage to create flesh or carnal thought?
The body comes from the dust that God took to form us. That’s why everything we eat is connected to the earth: fruit, animals, fish…
The spirit and soul are spiritual and come from God. They feed on God’s word. So that we can stay in God’s plan and function as God intends on this earth. So relationships must be managed according to God’s word. Even feeding your body must be done according to God’s desire.
And it is at this level that the devil has sought to infect, for he knows that the spirit and soul must follow God and that in relationships we must not think ill of one another, but love one another.
Then the devil will try to influence the soul by telling it and making it believe things that are against it. For example: “See that one, he doesn’t love you, you went to his wedding, but he didn’t come to yours. Your brother doesn’t like you, your parents don’t like you, look how people are against you, people don’t want you…”.
This will produce anger, bitterness, frustration…which will develop in the person’s heart. Because it’s the heart/soul that manages relationships.
Why does he do it?
The enemy does this so that the relationship between these people deteriorates.
For he knows that the spirit of man, which is composed of mind and soul, will be infected, and there will no longer be that tangible communion with God.
And this way of doing things is what we call flesh. That’s the mechanism.
We need to understand these things.
Hatred, pride…all these things develop in the heart.
Why?
Because, for example, when I look at my brother as if I were superior to him, it’s in relation to what? To the neighbor
But it’s the heart that manages material things and relationships. This is how pride will develop in this person’s soul.
For example, when there’s no love or affection in your heart for your spouse, your friend…
So what should you do?
For this means that the devil has planted his seed. You search, you look in your heart and thus you will be able to remove this evil by your spirit and to reject that firmly.
1 John 2
15 Love not the world, nor the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him;
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
The things that are in the world are material. So who’s supposed to manage it?
It’s your soul / your heart.
Whoever loves the world, it is in his soul that this love is found.
Someone may love the world with his soul, but his spirit loves God.
And when the time comes to praise God, there will be an inner struggle within the Christian. On Sundays, he’s in church, but from Monday to Saturday, he’s out in the world.
Those, for example, whom the devil urges to smoke, he will put desires in their hearts.
The source being in the soul, then, at one time or another, the person will see himself trying and continuing in this.
Why does the devil do this? To destroy the body, and occupy the soul.
It makes it impossible for the Christian to please the Lord God.
When you notice something wrong in your life, don’t think it’s coming from outside. When you feel it’s the other person’s fault, but you’re fine, then it’s the enemy who’s trying to manipulate you.
The devil does everything to prevent you from seeing and understanding. He’s hiding.
Because he knows that if you understand these things, then you’ll start talking to the Lord about it and everything will be destroyed.
Beloved, never hide your weaknesses from God, you have to confess them, talk about everything that’s in your heart and it will go away.
When a person gives his life to the Lord, his spirit is regenerated. This person is born of God, so there will be a desire in his or her heart to follow God, to do His will.
And this Christian is sincere in his decision.
As soon as he is converted, the Lord wipes out his sins, all the evil he has done from the first day until his conversion by the blood of the Lamb.
However, in his heart too, there are bad habits that are always there. The devil has introduced many things: he likes to criticize, drink, smoke, covet, …
How can it all start from his soul?
It’s by eating God’s word.
So, for example, when an ex-boyfriend or girlfriend goes before a Christian to encourage him or her to commit fornication. Although this Christian has traces in his heart, despite the fact that the old desires are still there, but this can only go away by the power of the Word of God that he has accepted.
It is by receiving the Word of God within you that you will be free. [John 8.31-32]
It is in Jesus, who is the Word, that we are delivered.
So, the more the Christian doesn’t give himself to the Word assiduously, the more the devil will play with his life. From time to time, this Christian will lie, will covet, will get angry, will be jealous…He will get up and he will fall again…
This means that the Christian’s years of weakness are proportional to his neglect of the Word.
Mark 7
21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22 thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.
23 All these evil things come from within and defile a man.
Let’s not keep anything in our hearts, our thoughts, that comes from the devil.
God too is Spirit and has a soul. And we are created in His image to live with Him eternally. This means that our spirit and soul must be interested in the things of heaven, not the things of earth.
Now, the heart in which the flesh is found will run after money, clothes, shoes, wigs, jewelry…continually. And so this heart will not be able to run after God but will be distracted in the things of the world.
For the Holy Spirit to baptize and empower the Christian, spirit and soul must be in unity, submitted to the Word of God.

Lord, you have redeemed me with your blood.
Help me to master my spirit and submit my soul to Your Word.
I reject all evil spirits in this world.
I dip my soul in the blood of Jesus.
I’m a new person.
