Prayer is a spiritual activity. It is through prayer that we can know whether someone is a Christian, for through prayer they can put into practice and demonstrate that they have received the Word.
It is prayer rooted in truth that shows we have understood. And when the enemy hears this, he begins to flee. It is through your prayer that He knows you are making progress.
We need to take our prayer life to the next level and increase its intensity. No obstacle can stand in the way of the name of Jesus.
Prayer is a journey. There are several levels of prayer.
We need to take the time to talk to the Lord. As we know, he wears many hats.
There are several possible offices we can use, depending on the scope of the project. Sometimes you can come to Him as your Father, or as the God who loves you, as your Creator, as the One who anoints you, the One who forgives you, who delivers you…
As a reminder, when we begin our prayer, we must first give thanks to the Lord for everything. Let’s not start with our problems. We won’t be able to discuss that until toward the end. We must always have a grateful heart.
After thanking Him, we take the time to ask for forgiveness for any wrongdoing. This office is the office of repentance, an office of deliverance.
Knowing that once you’ve finished repenting or talking about all your weaknesses, the devil will no longer have anything against you. He has been defeated.
Beloved, we must not pursue money more than God; rather, we must pursue God.
Every time you’re unable to pray, it’s an attack. You’ll hear voices telling you that you’re tired, that you have a long day ahead of you.
Don’t listen to that; don’t dwell on that weariness. But strangely enough, you’ll still be able to use social media.
If you leave it like that, your enemies will take advantage of the situation to harm you and even prevent you from going to heaven.
When we sense resistance to what God asks of us, it comes from our enemies.
And you’ll start to feel sluggish. Beloved, the enemy must be destroyed; otherwise, he will keep coming back to tempt us.
There are people who eat in their dreams or are visited by demons and find themselves in all sorts of strange places. This is synonymous with a life of little or no prayer.
And very often the next day, they can’t bring themselves to pray. These are attacks.
We must restore and reclaim our prayer life in the name of Jesus Christ.
No obstacle can stand in the way of someone in whom Jesus dwells, for all of heaven is with him when he prays.
We’re going to look at how to spend our hour of prayer using the prayer guide found in Daniel chapter 9.
The context here is that Israel had not heeded God’s voice. They lived in idolatry. The Lord had warned them through many prophets, but they did not listen.
Yet Israel was supposed to triumph, but power was given to the enemy. So the entire region of Israel was taken over by the devil.
Israel was taken into captivity by Nebuchadnezzar, and that is how Daniel was taken into captivity.
Then Babylon fell and was replaced by Persia.
Daniel spoke up and realized that the seventy years mentioned in the prophecy had passed. And he began to pray about it.
Daniel 9.
3 Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes
When you see that something is wrong, cry out to God.
Daniel observed a fast for his people.
He turned his face toward the Lord God; for us, this means turning our hearts toward God. This means you have to come of your own free will.
A sackcloth and ashes = a symbol of humility.
His prayer began this way:
Daniel 9.
4. And I prayed to the Lord my God, and made confession, and said, “O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments!
He began to praise God with all his heart, taking his time and staying focused.
Step = To honor, exalt, or glorify God.
What proof or evidence did Daniel have in his heart?
God keeps His covenant.
God is merciful.
God is great and awesome.
5 we have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments.
Daniel entered the second chamber of prayer: the chamber of repentance.
What was his state of mind?
He was full of humility.
In this position, you are humble and acknowledge your share of the responsibility. You don’t blame anyone—not your spouse, not anyone.
When you leave this office, the devil is stripped of his power.

Step: Exposing Sins.
6 Neither have we heeded Your servants the prophets, who spoke in Your name to our kings and our princes, to our fathers and all the people of the land.

Step: Describing poverty and its consequences.
He asked for forgiveness for what his fathers and kings had done, even though he hadn’t been there.
What he means here is that they heard it, but they didn’t put it into practice.
He included himself in it.
When you pray for your family, this is how you should do it. You have to include yourself when you ask for forgiveness for everyone.
7 O Lord, righteousness belongs to You, but to us shame of face, as it is this day—to the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and all Israel, those near and those far off in all the countries to which You have driven them, because of the unfaithfulness which they have committed against You.

Step: Describing one’s hardship and its consequences
It was very difficult for Israel; it was many years—even centuries—later that they returned to their land. They were scattered all over the world.
8 O Lord, to us belongs shame of face, to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, because we have sinned against You
9 To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against Him.
Step: Praying for God’s mercy and forgiveness
Daniel apologizes for that.
10 We have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in His laws, which He set before us by His servants the prophets.
Daniel agrees with God.
11 Yes, all Israel has transgressed Your law, and has departed so as not to obey Your voice; therefore the curse and the oath written in the Law of Moses the servant of God have been poured out on us, because we have sinned against Him.
Step: Describing one’s hardship and its consequences
He went on to explain the consequences of their wrongdoings.
12 And He has confirmed His words, which He spoke against us and against our judges who judged us, by bringing upon us a great disaster; for under the whole heaven such has never been done as what has been done to Jerusalem.
13 As it is written in the Law of Moses, all this disaster has come upon us; yet we have not made our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities and understand Your truth.
Step: Exposing unbelief, hardness of heart, and resistance to the truth.
This is how we should pray when we see these things happening in our family, church…
14 Therefore the Lord has kept the disaster in mind, and brought it upon us; for the Lord our God is righteous in all the works which He does, though we have not obeyed His voice.
15 And now, O Lord our God, who brought Your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and made Yourself a name, as it is this day—we have sinned, we have done wickedly!
Step: Deep repentance.
Beloved, this is another way to spend pleasant moments with God.

Lord Jesus, I belong to You.
I thank You for Your kindness.
You have saved my life from destruction.
Holy Spirit, awaken me in my prayer life
At home, may the fire of prayer burn brightly.
Whether by day or by night, let this fire burn.
