Apostle BILLEY.
2 Corinthians 5.21
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
The way of breakthrough is the way of the Lord. A life without foundation is a dead life.
Evreything must have a foundation.
Sometimes we call it a roof, a friend… But in the Christian life, the foundation is the word of God.
And it starts by redemption. It doesn’t start by asking physical blessing, material or financial blessing that is not a foundation. The Lord blesses people who has a foundation.
Even if you collect all the scriptures of blessings and pray, if you don’t have a foundation, it goes nowhere. Because those scriptures also have a foundation.
And for all these scriptures, the foundation is 1 Corinthians 6.20 and everything related to it.
There are so many verses that talk about that, it is not exactly the same sentences but it is the same spirit.
Even, the marriage has a foundation. When does the marriage foundation begin?
It starts the day that the brother came to that sister and ask her to marry him and she answered favorably. That day is the beginning of the foundation, those words become the foundation of the marriage. Before that, it was simply friendship.
These words are full of love, full of determination. You’ll also see faith, personal commitment and so much more. The same goes for the sister…
So, when it comes to our relationship with Jesus, that we belong to God. it has a foundation. It is the day we came to Jesus Christ, the Lord redeemed us and He said we belong to Him. Therefore, we must glorify Him with our body and soul. And that foundation, we must look at it, it has to be very strong in us. It works at all times, during our daily life, daily prayer. So, we must develop that personal relationship, spend time in His presence at home, at work during the break time.
As redeemed people, we don’t pray once a day but at least 4 times a day: early in the morning, late at night and in between we find also time to pray even if it 5 or 20 minutes. It is an institution.
And also, between all these prayers we can pray in our hearts, while cooking, doing laundry, … Because the Lord says we are the temple of the Lord. A temple can never be empty. It is always occupied. We need to know these principles.
Some when they gave their lives to Jesus, they didn’t receive these teachings or they received but didn’t emphasize or enforce them.. And after 5, 10 or 20 years, when you look at their lives, there are not many exploits, they don’t have many experiences with the Lord. Their faith or accountability is not that strong.
Because what was supposed to come first, didn’t come first.
What comes first? it is the salvation. What is attached to it? This salvation could never happen until Jesus went to the cross and died for us. The price of this sacrifice is the life of Christ. What’s the price? He bought us, so the currency of our salvation is the blood of Jesus, His life. We can compare Him to nothing else.
Jesus Christ that bought us, is coming back soon to take all those who belong to Him and walk in sanctification.
When it comes to foundation, this is very powerful. No matter what the situation where you find yourself in, it may be spiritual, natural, social, financial, physical, if you know how to stand upon the rock, you will see the greatness of the Lord in your life.
You will know that the Lord is with you, you will know exactly that you have been redeemed. Remember, we never know God unless we have problems. And He come to rescue us. From there, we develop a relationship with Him.
The reason the Lord came to us, is because we had problems. We were all dead. Sin had become a daily problem. And Jesus came to solve this situation through His blood.
When you know how to stand on the rock, you can destroy in the name of the One that bought you all those powers of darkness. You are not the one that is praying, but it is the Lord Jesus in you. We pray in His name and that means upon the rock, upon Your word, according to what You have said, to what we received from You, we are doing it.
We go forth, we evangelize in His name. It means, standing upon the rock. Our spiritual force, authority, inspiration, perception… are in the rock. All come to that river, the rock.
From the rock, we have the water of life.
Standing upon the rock, must be our way of life.
2 Corinthians 5.21
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
What do we earn from that scripture?
The righteousness of God because Jesus shed His blood.
We must pray according to it.
By leaning on the rock, putting it in your heart and declaring it, you’ll see anxiety disappear. Because you are the child of the Righteous One. Your past is in Jesus.
Don’t let your past be more real than your present or your future.
Because our past is sometimes so ugly, filled with hatred, bitterness, offenses, grudges…
As redeemed, make our efforts to be in the present and the future.
2 Cor.5.17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
This scripture is also based on 1 Corinthians 6.20. We are a new creation because we were bought at a great price.
For some, this happened 5, 10, 15, 20 years ago, but they don’t know it, they don’t know the power of this beginning.
The Christian hasn’t had the revelation. Or he didn’t go to church all the time.
That’s why, every time there’s a small problem, you collapse, a medium problem, you sleep, or faced with a big problem, you want to die.
Every time you get bad news or have a bad dream, you’re afraid because your foundation isn’t solid.
That’s why the Lord wants our foundation to be solid. Otherwise, the Christian will be manipulated by what he sees and hears. Let us be enlightened by the light of the Word. Let’s not justify ourselves.
When you hear threats at work and can’t sleep at night, it’s because your foundation isn’t solid.
The one God is going to use has to be solid, so we have to work on our foundation.
When there’s no foundation, there’s no purpose, and the Christian forgets very quickly.
But the Christian who has a foundation builds on it, and his foundation becomes solid.
How can you have a solid foundation?
Consider, for example, that yesterday I learned that Jesus has redeemed me and that I’m working on it, praying about it and keeping it. Today, He tells me that He is with me, because I belong to Him. This strengthens me even more, because there’s a relationship between what He told me yesterday and what He’s telling me today. The power of these two words strengthens me even more.
The next day, God adds that I am strong and can do anything through Him. This is not an isolated word, it is the continuation of the foundation, in that I am redeemed at a great price.
So I can use His name, I can live by Him, declare in His name….
In so doing, I grow in faith, in the word, in my relationship with God.
Let’s not read the word lightly, in bulk, let’s be orderly, let’s follow Jesus. Jesus is the way. And this path begins the day He redeemed me, or the day I understood this Word. I belong totally to Christ.
Whenever God speaks, I listen, knowing that I belong to God.
Every word I hear is linked to my foundation. And I put it into practice.
So my prayer must be based on what I already know. And not in bulk.
The path is clear. This path is why Jesus says “I am the way”.
The foundation must never be forgotten. The path must be followed.
There is a beginning to everything and, for Jesus, that beginning begins when he redeemed us with his blood.
If you understand this deeply, your prayer life will be an altar of power.
This day of redemption must be in our mind, our soul, our subconscious, our conscience… We must put it everywhere. Since that day, we have received rights from the Lord, we have become children of God.
God wants you to be a hero. You are a new person, so you must live according to the will of the Lord who redeemed you. Don’t let the Lord push you around. We must stand up to please Him.
When we look at Jesus, his face, his heart. What do you think he wants you to do?
You can see his desires. Then do it.
As soon as you do, you’ll delight Him. His anointing will be on your lives.
His desires are clear to us: justice, compassion for us, forgiveness, his love, that we walk in the way of righteousness…
All these things are God’s will. By practicing the desires of His heart, I grow.
And the desires of Jesus’ heart then become my prayers.
Jesus’ intentions and thoughts are Jesus’ way.
Therefore, when I have heard this, I must praise Him. He’s looking for someone to praise Him. Jesus is not a man. He is very powerful. He has a wide variety of means of communication.
When I do His will, it means I praise the Lord in spirit and in truth.
IN THE NAME OF JESUS, Let Us Pray… →
Lord Jesus, in You, I am righteous.
Any accusation in my mind, be all destroyed.
I am a new creation in Christ Jesus.
Let Your word dwell in me richly.
I am not going backwards.
I am moving forward with You, Lord Jesus.
Lord, may my life glorify Your name.
In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
