Apostle Billey.
2 Corinthians 5. 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.
Who walks by faith?
These are the redeemed, those who belong to Christ.
Their language, their hearts are full of faith.
They communicate with God, with the Lord Jesus, with the Holy Spirit through faith.
John 3. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Because they are born of God, they now speak the language of the spirit, which is called the language of faith.
Those who are born of the spirit, born again, what they eat is the Word, it’s their mentality.
So the energy, the strength they have, is spiritual strength. This strength manifests itself in faith. This is when we say that this person has faith.
Just as a car needs gasoline to run, when it runs out, it stops in mid-stream.
In the same way, a child of God needs faith to walk, and if he doesn’t have faith, he can’t function, everything stops.
The energy that keeps the Christian going is faith. The substance that enables him to walk as God wills is called faith.
When a Christian walks by faith, we say that this Christian has eaten the Word, he has received the Word. For faith comes from the Word that is in the Christian.
Gentiles cannot walk by faith, for they are dead. So you can’t ask a pagan to walk by faith.
Romans 6.23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Those who can walk by faith are only those who belong to God, the redeemed.
Because they belong to God, they are no longer in the kingdom of darkness, they are in God.
They express themselves in God’s language.
So God and the redeemed walk together.
When you see Christians walking down the street, you might think they’re alone.
But the Christian knows that he is never alone; he knows that his Father is with him, and he is with his Father.
Physically, the world sees him alone, but the Christian will say I am not alone, we are many, because he has faith.
When faced with danger, he knows he’s not alone. For he no longer lives according to the natural, but according to the spirit.
Before, he thought as someone who is in this world, but having now been born again, he thinks as someone who is in heaven.
The language of faith is for God’s children. Natural language is for those who haven’t yet converted.
Natural language according to this world is a very low language, the position is low.
It’s a language based on what they see. It’s when they see that they’re happy.
They say you have to see God before you can believe.
They are not yet born again, their eyes are closed, blinded. They are in a position of lowliness, they see before they act.
But when we are born of the spirit, the Lord opens our minds through the word. And this word gives us faith. And when the person walks according to this word, we say that person has faith.
Faith is the demonstration of what’s inside you.
That’s why it says in 2 Corinthians 5.7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.
Faith comes from the word.
Romans 10.17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
The word is spirit, and so is faith.
This means that faith cannot be received in any other way.
It is conceived in the mind when listening to the word.
For example, when you hear that God is there, you take note of what you hear.
And you behave from now on, aware that God is there.
If you don’t take what you’ve heard into consideration, you don’t have faith.
Those who are born of the spirit, those who are redeemed, are God’s property. So they are always with God. They must therefore have a permanent faith.
Hot or cold, day or night, the Word does not change. The power of the Word does not change when the seasons change.
The Word is the domain of the spirit. The rules governing faith are from heaven, not from earth.
Faith therefore consists in practicing the word through one’s mind.
It’s a demonstration of what I’ve received from God, within me.
Hebrews 11.
1 Now faith is a firm assurance of things hoped for, a demonstration of things not seen.
This faith is designed for relationship with God. It’s a blessing for us.
God doesn’t give us faith so that we can pray to create another heaven, another earth, sea, sun, moon…
No, God gives us the faith to walk with Him.
I can’t walk with the brothers by faith. Man wants to see before he believes.
He has faith in what he sees. So he can do a lot on his own.
Faith is simple, but complicated, for those without the heart of a child.
But we, God’s redeemed, must believe what God tells us.
If God were physically there, we wouldn’t need faith. If we talk about walking by faith, it means there’s something that makes this walk special. For God is spirit.
Consider this,
For example, when you ask a brother to pick you up at your house. And that he accepts. When it arrives, you believe because you see it.
But when it comes to God, when it’s time to go to bed, I pray to Him, commending my night to Him, saying, “You are my protector…”, so you must believe that He’s guarding you while you sleep, because you’ve turned to God. That’s faith.
If man can be faithful, how much more so our God?
As the redeemed, we must speak and do all things by faith.
Daniel had this faith even when he was thrown into the lion’s den. (Daniel 6.16)
He was thrown in to be destroyed so that the lions could eat him.
But Daniel had developed faith before this situation. Since he had faith, when he prays, he knows that God is there, he has no doubts. He has seen God in his mind, and he praises Him by being aware of His presence.
He used to practice the presence of God.
Faith is a mystery. It must be practiced.
Those who practice will see their faith grow. It’s based on the fact that God has redeemed us.
He who knows that he is redeemed, that Jesus came to earth, suffered for and died for him, cannot doubt. It would be like a crime.
So how can we doubt?
The faith of walking is authentic, it takes practice.
Imagine, if Daniel had not practiced faith, when he was thrown into the lions’ den, what would have happened?
He would have had doubt in him and the lions would have eaten him. For doubt would have attracted the lions, for that belongs to Satan.
But faith belongs to God.
Now, because he had faith, the lions did not see Daniel, but they saw God.
Not because Daniel is God, but because he is God’s property.
The man, the thing, whatever belongs to God, no one can touch.
Whoever touches it has touched God.
Daniel stood firm, stayed on the Rock and the lions couldn’t touch him.
Beloved, we are redeemed. Our assurance, our all, is the Lord Jesus.
The things of this world are fleeting and ephemeral, but the things of God are eternal.
Those who have tasted God and faith can never leave God. On the contrary, they’ll want to eat more of the Word, to have faith.
What belongs to God is protected. The enemy cannot touch the one who belongs to God.
The only way the enemy can touch a Christian is if he’s no longer in the right place.
As long as the sheep is in the pasture, the wolf can’t reach it.
Let’s stay on the Rock, no one can touch us.
When God has created a person, for example a woman, she cannot change. Heaven knows she’s a woman.
This woman could never become a man, she’d be confused.
We can’t change what God has done.
What is outside the truth is in confusion, in evil.
Truth is not debatable. It’s the Rock.
When Jesus says “I have redeemed you”, he means the Rock.
God’s will is that no one should be lost. So beloved, take this Rock: you are redeemed.
Faith is what is true, what cannot be disputed.
Day or night, wherever you go, don’t take your eyes off the Rock. Walking by faith.
IN THE NAME OF JESUS, Let Us Pray… →
Lord Jesus, you are my Rock.
You are the foundation of my life.
You redeemed me.
May my faith in you not be weakened.
May it be established for You.
Lord, I belong to You.
May my love for you grow stronger every day.
In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
