Apostle Billey.
Genesis 2
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;
17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
We are 100% responsible for what we decide. So we must control our free will.
Beloved, don’t do anything because you want to do it but do it because God wants you to do it, or because it will bring you closer to God.
God told Noah to build the ark. But He didn’t push Noah, He didn’t force him. And then it’s Noah’s turn to get up.
What will make Noah carry out his plan is willpower.
Noah has the choice of doing this or not.
Why does God speak to him? For the Lord has already deposited the free will in him, He has already put everything needed in Noah.
He doesn’t address Noah as a robot, for He created him in His own image.
Noah heard and acted on the Lord’s instructions.
Our free will must be controlled. You always have to know what you’re doing, what you’re doing, what you’re going to do.
Passover is the greatest celebration on earth and in heaven. For this is what proves that everything has been accomplished by Christ.
To understand the doctrine of salvation, of the cross, we need to understand the fall, sin and its gravity.
Those who understand the seriousness of sin will be able to apply the blood of Jesus effectively.
There were three types of trees as mentioned in Genesis 2:8_9.
The fruit tree for the body and two other spiritual trees.
There’s no physical tree that you’re going to eat and that’s going to give you knowledge.
Nor is there a physical tree that gives life.
We cannot receive life from a tree, only have life from the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The tree here refers to a source of something.
Moreover, the spirit called Satan is represented in Genesis by the serpent.
Genesis 2.17
But you shall not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for in the day that you eat of it, you shall die.
The spirit and soul are supposed to eat of the fruit of the tree of life. And the body, the fruit of the physical tree.
When Adam ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, did he stay alive?
No, he died spiritually. Adam continued to live physically, but for God he died.
Eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil means accepting the word of the serpent. This is how Adam’s DNA became contaminated by the serpent.
What were the consequences?
Genesis 3
7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.
8 And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden
10 And he said, “I heard your voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I am naked, and I hid myself.
The thief always steals what is valuable. John 10.10 The thief comes only to steal, slaughter and destroy; … This is how the serpent stole Adam.
And their eyes were opened to all they had lost. They realized that they had fallen, that they had gone from a high position to one of baseness.
- Adam found himself naked, i.e. he lost his authority, his power, his honor, his glory, his dignity, his protection, his value, his strength, (his identity), his potentials, the respect of others towards him.
- He was frightened.
Did the Lord create us with the spirit of fear? No.
That means there was fear in this tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and it attacks the spirit of man.
- He became weak, depressed, disconnected from God.
- He was now chained to the serpent, for he who sins belongs to the devil. [1John3.8]
As a result, the snake controlled its emotions. He controls his joy, his peace…
Did he want Adam to be happy or at peace? No. He had lost all hope, his joy, his peace, for he was tormented.
- He was in darkness. The voice of the serpent is the serpent itself, so when Adam received this voice, he received the nature of the serpent.
But when you come to Jesus, everything is restored. Christ nailed sin and its consequences to the cross.
How do you recognize someone who has died?
He who is dead cannot have spiritual power against sin, against the serpent.
The devil can come and take everything away from him, and he won’t have the strength to resist.
When he sleeps, demons can visit him viciously without him being able to say or do anything.
He then becomes easy prey for the devil, who can touch and divert everything that’s important to him, even God’s will for his life.
He can take away his potential, his intelligence, his strength… and he will possess the person of his nature: weakness, dishonor, shame…
Once Adam has fallen, he can’t come back on his own.
Genesis 3.
24. So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.
Adam unfortunately let himself be seduced by the serpent, and he couldn’t get up on his own.
Yet Adam’s spirit is superior to that of the serpent, since he is made in the image of God.
To raise him up, we needed the One who had given him life. That is, the Father, the Son or the Holy Spirit.
A dead tree can’t come back to life on its own, and neither can an animal.
Nor can man, when he dies, even physically, resurrect himself.
He who has sinned is said to have fallen. Sin is very serious.
If someone has lied, even if they’ve stopped lying. He won’t be able to get up on his own. Because he fell.
There’s no such thing as a little sin; to sin is to sin.
And there will be the same consequences, i.e. weakness, fear, despair… in that person’s life.
All sin leads to death. And it takes the Creator to bring the person back to life.
For Adam to emerge from this fall, sinsin must be forgiven.
What is the process?
Adam must recognize the evil he has done, i.e. he must repent.
He must recognize that he has used God’s nature to deliver to Satan.
And then, the blood of the lamb must cleanse sin first because God is just.
The problem must therefore first be solved by God Himself.
And it is only from this moment that Adam will again have access to the tree of life.
Beloved, you must review your life, probe your heart. Don’t justify your sins, humble yourself before the Lord, He will forgive you.
Some think they’re with God, but they’re still in the fall, because they still love sin or something that leads them to sin. This delays their delivery.
Yet it’s simple: all you have to do is strip off your clothes and repent deeply before the Lord.
Ephesians 1
7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace
Redemption means deliverance through the blood of Jesus.
Everything happens in spirit. Let’s assume that natural/physical blood, when poured, dries out after a while. But the blood of Jesus is eternal. This is the spiritual aspect, and we have unlimited and eternal access to the blood of Jesus.
Adam didn’t have the solution, but we do. The solution is Jesus, the blood of Jesus.
The obstacle, very often, is the concept/perception of Jesus that we have within ourselves, a concept of religion.
Nothing is greater than God, let us not remain in the valley of dry bones, in death.
Jesus came to save us in every way. Christians must be champions in this world, and even lend to pagans. We must have a life that shines for God.
IN THE NAME OF JESUS, Let Us Pray… →
Father, I bless you for the life of your Son Jesus,
By which my sins can be forgiven
Lord, the spirit you have given me must be submitted to you.
Lord, forgive me for I realize the evil in me (e.g. pride, idolatry…).
Pride belongs to the serpent.
You spirit of pride, as of today, you leave my life.
You will no longer have access to my life.
I destroy your manners, your habits, your thoughts…
I plead the blood of Jesus on my life.
I declare that I am strong, Jesus is in me.
In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
