Apostle Billey

The life we have belongs to God.

If we understand this, it will be easy to be filled by the Lord, with His love in our spirit and soul. For the Lord touches, fills those who belong to Him.

The Lord Jesus and His disciples were together every day from Monday to Sunday for almost three and a half years. They had meetings for prayer and study of the Word.

We too must adjust our time for the Lord. We must embrace the Lord totally, knowing that we belong to Him.

In the last weeks of His ministry on earth, the Lord Jesus asked His disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit.

Acts 1

8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight

You’ll receive power.

Where does this power come from? It comes from God Himself.

All the power of the kingdom of darkness is afraid only of Christians. But many Christians are unaware of this. Because we’ve been manipulated. Many don’t know who they are.

Beloved, we must operate at higher levels.

We must be the Lord’s witnesses. And it starts in our families, in our surroundings…

This power Jesus spoke of is the ability to change, to influence the people around us, the ability to show God’s heart to humanity.

Power is spiritual, not physical. So we receive it within ourselves. We practice this power with our words, not with our muscles.

This power is for our lives to be charged with God.

What is the role of the Holy Spirit?

It is to comfort us, to direct us in the ways of the Lord Jesus, in the daily will of the Lord. And that depends on God’s time. The exact time. Chronos time.

We must therefore make ourselves available to enter this precise time of God. And it is the Holy Spirit who guides us in this.

This is how the Holy Spirit led the disciples on that day of Pentecost. There were three thousand converts.

Beloved, when you get up and have the desire to pray, to praise the Lord. Do it without waiting, without procrastinating, because it’s a door for you, chronos time.

When the Lord wakes you up at 2:00 a.m., it’s not just to go to the bathroom. The Lord can use this need to wake you up. It’s also a time for you to meet God.

Sometimes in the middle of the day, you may remember a sin you committed a long time ago. It’s the Holy Spirit who reminds you to repent. Because He wants to do something for you.

The Holy Spirit and the Lord Jesus are like twins, they come from God.

It will be hard for you to move forward if you don’t know who Jesus is, and who the Holy Spirit is.

When the Christian begins to testify, it is from that moment that heaven says that this Christian has understood.

Witnessing means listening, touching and speaking.

Who is Jesus to you? What has he done for you? That’s what witnessing is all about.

For some, it’s the start that seems difficult. But what is a Christian to do?

All you have to do is use your free will and decide to get started. The Holy Spirit will then inspire this Christian. This will enable him to receive many gifts of the Holy Spirit at the same time. For the gifts are manifested in the life of the Christian who bears witness.

If you’ve since been converted and haven’t sent any souls to the Lord. Do you think the Lord is pleased? No.

We must bear witness to what Jesus has done for us.

Acts 1.8. …you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

It doesn’t mean going to Jerusalem. He was speaking to His disciples in Jerusalem. So for us, it’s all about starting with the people around us.

Everything we do is by the Holy Spirit. We must rely on God in everything.

Pentecost was already celebrated in the Old Testament; it’s the harvest festival. The aim was to thank the Lord for the harvest.

Acts 2

1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.

3 Then there appeared to them [b]divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Here it was the harvest of souls.

The Holy Spirit’s objective is to ensure that the Kingdom of God expands. Then He equips the Christian with spiritual gifts to win souls.

All spiritual gifts are linked to souls.

For example, speaking in tongues is not complicated: it’s a gift of the Holy Spirit, but the main objective is to win souls.

The disciples were in the upper room for ten days, waiting as the Lord Jesus had asked them.

If we were in the disciples’ shoes, how many would have stayed waiting without knowing the number of days required?

That’s why it’s hard for the Holy Spirit to use us. Because we don’t give the Lord the time he needs.

Time belongs to God. He decides what we will be, so we must surrender ourselves to Him.

The 120 disciples rejected the voice of the serpent, braving all resistance to obey the Lord. And on the tenth day, they were filled with the Holy Spirit.

Beloved, let’s give the Lord time, let’s make room for Him.

1 John 5.

11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

12 He who has the Son has [d]life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

The life that is in the Father is also in the Son.

So when the Son speaks, the Father speaks. The Son therefore has the Father’s will in Him.

The Father and Son are said to be one, not in numerical number, but because of what is in them.

The Son would not exist without the Father. He wouldn’t live without the Father. He lives for the Father.

Jesus perceives what the Father wants and walks and lives according to it.

So the Christian who has received the life of Jesus must also walk as Jesus wants.

For us to have life, we must receive it from Christ.

And this life received within us is what we must spread.

It is through this life that we are victorious. Impossible otherwise.

He who is filled with his old life cannot walk with God. The old life is his way of seeing, of perceiving things… It’s a life of worry, a life mottled with fear, failure, doubt…

What should he do?

We have to let this old life die. And taking on new life, that’s where the blessing lies.

And the Holy Spirit will come to equip him, to enable him to triumph.

How to live the life of Christ?

Galatians 2.

20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

The life we live is the life of Jesus. This is the life that is filled with God’s anointing, that shines, that prays, that cries Alleluia…

That’s how it is in God’s kingdom.

With God’s life, we cannot be depressed, fearful… but we are filled with joy, faith…

When will the Holy Spirit baptize?

It’s when the Christian is meshed into the spirit, the glory of God. Everything about him is interwoven: his perception, his desires, his intentions, his character, his nature…

And when he does, he becomes a ‘hot’ Christian, because he begins to dominate the things of this world by the spirit. The Christian no longer sees himself as the same person.

What does it mean to be baptized with fire? What is fire?

Fire is character and endurance.

You can’t stop fire, you can’t corrupt it, you can’t wet it…

It’s a spiritual fire. This implies that man cannot stop God’s movement.

That’s why problems don’t take away the love of God, the joy, the peace… of the fire-filled Christian.

In this way, the Holy Spirit touches every aspect of the Christian’s life: his memory, his perception, his understanding, his comprehension…

Let’s remember Paul in prison [Acts 16.25]; he continued to praise the Lord. How is this possible?

You have to have love for God, the fire of God within you, the perception of the Lord…

The fire is not in the dimension of man but of spirit. This is what it means to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. It’s more than oil on the head.

So even when this Christian is given bad news, he remains confident in the Lord, knowing that God is in control. This character is fire.

Those who have received God’s life know that God is the alpha and the omega.

Whoever attacks this Christian will be in trouble because he will have attacked the life of God.

But if you’re not filled with the life of God, you’re more likely to complain about situations.

For example, the person who lives with the old life, when he’s married, in his home, there’s no life, no prayer. There’s no peace in the house… Selfishness prevails in couples. They don’t treat their spouses right: no harmony.

They are influenced by the world. Their lives are ruled by themselves, their emotions… If they’re in a good mood, everything’s fine, otherwise it’s war in the house.

Whereas the Christian who lives with the new life, in his couple, is joy, peace, prayer, forgiveness… He knows that life is more than the material. He is filled with the Holy Spirit.

How to make the old life die?

By remembering his identity, my old life has been destroyed and I now have the life of Jesus. So I reject anger, frustration… And the Holy Spirit will give me strength.

By doing this every day, I would be living the new life.

IN THE NAME OF JESUS, let us pray… →

Lord, I thank You because I have Your life in me.

I declare in the name of Jesus

I am the life of Jesus speaking to my brother, to those around me.

I am the light of Christ.

I am the way, the strength of Christ.

I am the power of God on this earth.

I am the voice of Jesus.

When I speak, the power of God manifests itself in the name of Jesus.

God’s strength and power are connected to me day and night.

I thank You, Lord, and I bless You forever.

In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
