Apostle Billey.

Col.3.23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,

The moment God speaks to us, then we take note – we have to change our way of looking at things. And it’s at the level of the soul that the Christian must make the decision to change his way of doing things from now on.

This is what we call the new mindset, the new attitude.

We are children of light, we must do everything for the Glory of God and not for our own glory or that of anyone else.

Col.3.24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; For you serve the Lord Christ.

This means that if the Christian doesn’t develop this new mentality, everything he does doesn’t count. Even his offering is zero, because he will not have given to God.

How do you give to God? Doing everything for the Lord.

  • We must do all things for the Lord. Col.3,23-24.

Even if I give a glass of water to someone, I’m giving it to God. Even though physically, it’s like it’s the person’s; but in my mindset, as a born-again, it’s for God.

If we didn’t do it this way in the past, that means it’s the wrong way, so we need to change that. This is now part of “once” (the past), the darkness. (Eph.5.8)

If someone gives me a car, I have to give thanks to God for having put this desire in the person’s heart. And he who offers the car must know that he has offered it to God.

As born-again Christians, the means by which we must let the Light manifest itself deeply within us is to remember that we no longer belong to ourselves but to the Mighty God [1Cor 6:20].

We have to RESET OUR MIND to our new reality.

This means that the revelation we receive will enable us to change our attitude towards others.

We are united with the Lord, we are united with our brothers and sisters, we are light;

Then the inclination of our heart must change, our point of view must be in relation to the Lord.

The worldly mindset must die [Matthieu 16:21-26].

We must not obey his wishes. We must not submit to the sinful mindset of this world of evil. [Romains 8:5-11]

  • The Lord Jesus is always with us. Math 28.20, John 14.18.

John 14.18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

When you tell a pagan that God is there, he doesn’t do anything with it, because that’s his mindset.

But for the Christian, his new mindset, must be to know that God is constantly with him.

In the same way, we don’t need to remind a man that he’s a man, or a woman that she’s a woman.

So we must know, that Jesus is with us:

Math 28.20 …I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

From the moment the Christian hears these words of light, he must develop this new mindset that goes with the Word and faith.

  • We’re not part of the world. John 15:19; John 17:16.

John 17.16. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

The pagan will not understand this Word, because he is of the world. And that’s what we used to be.

But a Christian, the one who comes to Jesus, his new mindset must know that he is no longer of the world.

The pagan doesn’t know where he’s going; but the Christian knows where he’s going, because he follows Jesus.

  • We have to win heaven. Mark 8:36; Romans 12:2.

Mark 8.36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?

What should a serious Christian do when he hears this?

His new mindset, then, must be not to win the world, but to win heaven.

Rom.12.2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Beloved, when you hear this, automatically you have to change.

Knowing that there’s heaven, earth and hell, you have to make a decision, it’s up to you to change.

You must no longer run to the things of the world, but run to God, asking for help.

  • Knowing how to be content and give thanks. 1 Timothy 6:7-8; 1 Corinthians 3.18.

1 Timothy 6.

7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

8 And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.

The Christian who changes his old mindset and adopts this new mindset, the devil will never succeed in oppressing him.

He can’t oppress it with money, with the car, with materials…because God will allow you to have everything you need every day.

It is the Lord who provides for your needs. But it’s what’s beyond, that the devil uses to manipulate Christians’ thoughts and keep them from loving God while they’re on earth.

Beloved, remember the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. Luke 16:19-31.

When you listen to God’s Word, you have to take a stand, you have to decide to see and do things God’s way, because no one is going to decide for you.

1 Corinthians 3.18

Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.

Brothers, we must leave the wisdom of the world, it’s mud, and take that of God.

For example, the enemy will show you people who have built houses and buildings, while you have nothing.

Because of this, you’ll start to worry and put all your energy into building houses too; even if it keeps you from going to church and weakens your prayer life.

Beloved, that’s the wisdom of the world. Know that at the end of your days, you’ll leave that money with Mammon, and then where will you go?

God’s wisdom is to bless God for everything he gives us.

Your heart must be at peace, Praise God!

So the new mindset is to accept what God has said and walk by it.

This mindset is therefore linked to thoughts, attitude and the inclination of the heart.

Let’s win heaven, so that our hearts are not inclined to fleeting things but to knowing God. God must take up all the space.
