Summary of the preaching

Sunday, February 18, 2024 – Pastor Tony.

Mat 28 18 Jesus came and spoke to them: All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
19 Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Mark 16.
15 Then he said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned.

These two verses are recommendations from the Lord.

Jesus hasn’t changed – when we receive the Lord’s promise as a child of God – this is what we must do.

The Lord chose us – not us. So the only thing he asks of us is to follow him.

The Lord Jesus, himself, won souls – he was followed by many.

And in all this, all he did was to do the will of his Father – who had said to him the harvest is very plentiful, but the laborers are very many.

God the Father also did the same.
He doesn’t want the man he created in his image and likeness to go to hell.

So he decided to come in Jesus Christ of Nazareth and reconcile the world to himself.
( 2 Corinthians 5.19 For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not imputing to men their trespasses, and he has put in us the word of reconciliation).

Since the day we accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour

We have been given power – that power is the word of God. (John 1.12)

He chose us to bear fruit.

Proverbs 11.30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And the wise man takes souls.

The righteous are those from whom sin has been removed. Jesus took his sin and gave it his life, through substitution, by means of faith.

What fruits are in a fair?

Peace, joy, love, patience, gentleness, temperance; …

And what is a tree of life?

A tree capable of providing benefits, life through its virtues.

And there are trees of life on this earth, such as the baobab.

Baobab is the tree of a thousand virtues.

Thanks to its fibrous texture, the baobab absorbs and stores a maximum amount of water during the rainy season, enabling it to survive the dry season.

Fruits then form, containing large black seeds surrounded by a white, mealy, edible pulp.

The fruit doesn’t fall like avocados or mangoes, but you have to pick it to get it.

But the fruit is full of nutrients – rich in vitamins.

The pulp of its fruit is also used to relieve/cure certain illnesses. Bark can even be used to make clothes.

Jesus was a tree of life on earth like a baobab tree, for every sick person who came to him was healed, and those in need of deliverance were delivered…

And everything Jesus had in him, he gave us through his word.

We are now carriers of God’s presence.

We are wise people who can lift souls out of Satan’s bondage.

(Proverbs 11.30… And the wise take souls).

So you have to be like a baobab tree wherever you are in order to be useful, you have to be a tree of life at your workplace, in your neighborhood, in your family.

For you are a carrier of the Kingdom of God.

God has chosen us to do great things.

Luke 4.
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted,
19 To proclaim deliverance to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.

The anointing that was on Jesus is also on us. We must strip the kingdom of darkness.

But because of fear, because of the selfish desires of our hearts… We don’t care about the things of God.

But we need to position ourselves to see these feats fulfilled in our lives.

The Lord Jesus said that we can do the same things he did, and even more.

The day we accepted him, he commissioned us with the mission of winning souls.

The lord spent a lot of time in the Lord’s presence and then did his will.

So we too must do the same.

John 15.5 I am the vine, you are the branches.

He who abides in me and I in him bears much fruit, for without me you can do nothing.

Beloved, you must attach yourself to the main branch, which is Jesus Christ, with all your heart; so as to produce fruit: peace, patience, love….

And people will come to you to receive these things.

** How can I win souls for the Lord?

We are born again through the word. We have been chosen and established by Christ to bear fruit.

To do this, we need to know certain verses, and even memorize them.

1. All men are sinners.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God;

2. Sin leads to death.

Romans 6.23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

3. There will be a judgment because we will have to give an account to our Lord.

Hebrews 9.27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, after which cometh judgment,

4. Good works don’t save – You don’t inherit the kingdom of God by doing good.

Titus3. 5 he saved us, not because of any works of righteousness we might have done, but according to his mercy, through the baptism of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.

5. Jesus Christ died for our sins.

Romans 5.8 But God proves his love for us in that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

6. We are saved by faith in Jesus Christ.

John 1.12 But to all who received her, to those who believe in her name, she gave the power to become children of God, who have been born.

Beloved, consider this:

In one family, men did not live past the age of 40.
And each time, before he died, he had the same dream. And in each dream, he saw seven men carrying a coffin.

From generation to generation, it was the same for all men.
Until one day, a man in this family had this dream and told his wife about it.

The latter was in a state of total despondency. Fortunately, they had a neighbor who was a Christian, and she was able to confide in her.

The neighbor invited them to her church and they went.

There were intensive prayers during which it was revealed that this young man’s forefather was a king – when he died, according to custom,

all his servants were to be buried with him. There were seven of them.

And one of them who was under 40 before he was executed, he had cursed him, saying that no one in his family would live past the age of 40, and the other six with him had done the same before they were killed.

This young man gave his life to Jesus and was completely delivered and saved.

Beloved, this Christian neighbor released the power within her and was able to save a soul, and even a whole family.

If she hadn’t fulfilled her mission by telling them about Jesus. Would he have been saved?

From this testimony, we can see that it is essential for us to give life to those around us through the word.

Beloved, know that you are a carrier of the Kingdom of God.

LET US PRAY →

Lord Jesus, you chose me,

You’ve equipped me to win souls.

From now on, I surrender myself to you.

Forgive me whenever I fail to have compassion for the souls around me.

Wash me with your precious blood.

You are my Lord and my Savior,

I am your temple.

I am a tree of justice.

I’m a baobab.

I have the power to walk on snakes and scorpions, and nothing can harm me.

Lord, I present my family to you for their conversion and deliverance.

Lord, use me to bring the truth to those around me.

In the name of Jesus Christ.
