Proverbs 15.29
The Lord is far from the wicked, But He hears the prayer of the righteous.
Testimony:
I bless the name of the Lord who sustains me even in my work.
I’m a teacher and I remember that at the beginning of the school year, I prayed for every student in my class. I had declared that every child who entered my classroom would be under the blood of Jesus.
Shortly afterwards, we received a student who had transferred from another school. Because he had been declared a special case at the school: a rather unruly pupil, who destroys equipment, is very distracted and is always leaving the classroom.
Having learned this, before receiving him into my classroom, I had made a prayer to the Lord saying: Lord remember, in Jesus’ name, that every child who enters my classroom is no longer what they say he was.
On the Monday he arrived at school, he had to do another class, before coming to my classroom in the afternoon. But he created so many problems in the morning that they didn’t allow him to stay on in the afternoon. That’s why I didn’t see him that day.
The next day, Tuesday, the same problem occurred, and by the afternoon he was unable to continue.
On Wednesdays, as I’d had a change in my schedule, from then on my classes had to be in the morning. First thing in the morning. So this child arrived in my class.
And then a peculiar thing happened: he sat down right away. And throughout, he didn’t disturb or break anything. But on the contrary, he obeyed everything I told him to do.
I wondered if this was the same child my colleagues were talking so much about. He was so different in my classroom. Towards the end of the class, he came up to me and said, “Will I see you again tomorrow morning?” And I replied, “Of course, I’m your teacher.”
The following Thursday went well again, as did Friday.
And so on, and to this day, he’s the one who offers to help me in class.
I know that it is the hand of the Lord that has acted in this child’s life. I give thanks to the Lord for his blessings, which are evident in my work and in the lives of my students.
All glory to the Lord Jesus!
