Let us meet The Bread of Life

We can see diseases, pandemics, sadness, evil, misery in hospitals, accidents(in fact, 99% of these accidents are created by demons), animals biting man, elephants attacking man(animals are supposed to submit to man) …

We were born into a world of sin. We haven’t known what it’s like to be permanently surrounded by God’s glory. We had never lived a life of holiness.

The evil we see around us, the human tendency to act badly, has its roots in Genesis chapter 3.

All this is the result of the fall of man.

Genesis 3.

1 The serpent was the most cunning of all the beasts of the field, which the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You shall not eat of every tree in the garden’?

2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden;

3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ”

The serpent spoke to Eve, and she replied.

Satan speaks, demons speak. They have eyes, hear and speak.

He preached falsehood to provoke Eve to speak.

Just as he might say to married people, “Your spouse comes home late from work every day, do you know what happens?”

Satan approached the woman to communicate. He did the same with Jesus on several occasions, with Peter…

He does everything he can to make man constantly oppose God. It seeks to destroy man.

The same method he used with Eve and Adam, he uses with everyone.

We must therefore learn to discern the voice and ways of the serpent.

Matthew 16

22 Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, saying, “God forbid, Lord! It won’t happen to you.

23 But Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get away from me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; for your thoughts are not God’s thoughts, but those of men.

Jesus spoke to Satan.

Where was Satan? Either inside or near Pierre.

How can we discern the voice and ways of the serpent?

One of the things the devil uses is thoughts.

1/ Any thought or desire we receive, which basically doesn’t facilitate God’s plan, comes from the serpent because it goes against God’s plan.

2/ Any inner feeling (big or small) that defends egocentric self-interest, that is self-admiring, that is self-satisfied, can be the seed or feelings of the 99% snake.

For example, in Matthew 16, Peter was defending a personal interest: he wanted Jesus to be with him at all times. He didn’t want Jesus to go to the cross. He loved Jesus selfishly, for himself. It came from the snake that had manipulated his heart.

The Lord said, “Your thoughts are the thoughts of man. He was looking out for his own interests, not God’s. [Matthew 16:23]

3/ The snake’s temptation techniques consist of :

• to create desire in man
• or to satisfy an existing desire, to fulfill a desire already in man’s heart.

4/ The element of temptation is always present:

• either physically
• or in the imagination (in the head)
• or the person has already heard it (sounds). For example, a person hears that at a place where you work, you earn $9000. This will create an image in the person.

When these elements come together, the devil can succeed in tempting the person.

In Adam’s case, the element of temptation was present: it was the tree.

As far as Peter was concerned, he wanted Jesus to stay with him; it was inside him in his mind.

Eve was unable to discern his voice. What’s more, the enemy acted as if he wanted to help Eve.

Genesis 3.

4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die.

5 But God knows that in the day you eat of it, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like gods, knowing good and evil.

6 When the woman saw that the tree was good for eating and pleasing to the eye, and that it was precious for opening the mind, she took of its fruit and ate; she also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate.

From the moment Eve listened to and accepted the devil’s word, lust entered her.

When a Christian begins to think evil, he is telling the serpent that he has accepted its proposal.

Thinking about an evil also means that the seed has already entered the person.

And by dint of thinking about it, the Christian will be watering this bad seed within himself. Just as a gardener waters a seed planted in a garden practically every day.

For example, if a man starts thinking about an old girlfriend, the more he thinks about her, the more desire will grow in his heart, and he’ll try to meet her.

Likewise, when someone offends you, if you keep thinking about it, the more you think about it, the angrier you’ll get.

The Lord said in 1 John 2.15_ 16, not to love the world or the things that are in the world. (Covetousness of the eyes, of the flesh…)

Why? The devil has laid his wares all over the world, and he knows these things will be seen. And when a man sees these things, he’ll start thinking about them or imagining things based on what he’s seen.

This is how this person will be watering the bad seed that has entered him or her.

For example, how does fashion develop? Through the lust of the eyes.

Someone sees something and what they saw remains in their memory. And when he has the money, he goes out and buys it.

Thoughts then become the place to keep and cultivate desire.

And so, after accepting the voice of the serpent, Eve began to covet the tree.

It wasn’t the first time she’d seen this tree, however. That’s how the devil tempts everyone, every time.

We have to be very careful. As Christians, let’s not meditate on evil.

Eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is like taking the broad road that leads to eternal death.

We must be among those who decide to eat the fruit of the tree of life, because when you eat this fruit, the Word, you are strengthened in your inner man.

IN THE NAME OF JESUS, Let Us Pray… → 
Lord, whenever the serpent wants to speak to me, let his voice be exposed and destroyed in Jesus' name.  
May any voice of the serpent seeking to contact me be exposed and destroyed.  
Let everything in my house that is forbidden and comes from the serpent be destroyed.
Let every seed received from the devil be uprooted.
All that I have seen, heard, ... that comes from darkness be burned in the name of Jesus Christ.
Holy Spirit, help me to become aware of Your Presence every time, every moment.
