Let us meet the Bread of Life

‘The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil’ _ No. 2

Genesis 2.

15 Then the Lord God took [d]the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.

16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;

17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil is a spiritual tree. It happened because the voucher exists.

It is when a person, faced with a situation and knowing what is right, deliberately chooses to do wrong.

Did God create a tree specifically to harm man?

Did God create evil? No.

Some people may be blinded by darkness as they wonder why God planted a tree of the knowledge of good and evil, knowing that Adam was likely to eat from it.

Good things can only come from good things. What is good should be used for good.

When something good produces bad things, it is because the serpent has corrupted it.

That is man’s free will. And God teaches him what is wrong to do.

People must use their free will to choose to do good.

If you blame your father or mother, you can’t have a good relationship with your parents.

The dust on the ground is there for a specific reason, and that’s fine. But that same dust is not fit for human consumption. So, shouldn’t the dust have been created? God created everything good, but not everything is good to eat.

The roads were built, and the car was built to bring joy. But because it can be dangerous, everyone needs to take driving lessons to prevent accidents.

Why did God tell them not to eat it, or they would die?

Because of his perfect love.

Similarly, a mother does this for her children every day out of love: “Don’t forget your coat; don’t go out like that—it’s cold…”

Or, for example, let’s say we have a 5-year-old child.

And one day, while we were out shopping, we bought fruit juice, gasoline, and so on.

Keep in mind that if a child drinks a huge amount of orange juice, it will give them a stomachache.

So, what should I say to this child? You’ll probably be able to drink it, but only once a day—otherwise you might get sick. By speaking this way, we will be bringing it to life and teaching it.

In saying this, we are not trying to abuse our power; this is also what God did with Adam.

If the child protests and says, “But why do that when it’s so good and sweet?”

This is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

When something good turns bad, it means it has been contaminated.

Think about this: A friend calls you, insults you, and hangs up. What are you going to think?

You have the choice to listen to God’s guidance by relying on His Word.

Or you can decide to eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil by returning his insult.

However, self-control is a fruit of the spirit.

What to do? We need to start praying for that person. That is what it means to practice love.

The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil applies to every aspect of a person’s life, both on the natural and spiritual levels.

Did God create the tree to tempt Adam and Eve?

No, God does not tempt anyone. [Jacques 1.13_14]

The Lord does not want us to suffer. You shouldn’t use your intelligence or knowledge to do harm.

The tree of the knowledge of good and evil is anything that constitutes willful disobedience to God’s command.

And the first consequence is that they no longer have access to the Tree of Life.

What should you do in this case? You must ask for forgiveness and immediately destroy the evil you see in yourself.

We must refuse to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but rather eat from the tree of life.

IN THE NAME OF JESUS, let us pray… →

Lord, You are great and wonderful.

I celebrate Your goodness and Your love.

Lord Jesus, I surrender myself to You and submit to You.

May the truth of Your Word set me free.
