Apostle Billey.

John 3

5 Jesus answered, ” Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Nothing happens by chance; when someone is blessed it’s because they’ve done something. When the Lord decides to visit a person, it’s because that person has opened the door of his or her heart. And anyone who receives the Lord Jesus, their life will change completely. For from that moment on, it will no longer be he who lives, but Christ who lives in him. Thus, this Christian will begin to live the divine life.

Being born again isn’t physical, it’s spiritual. Nicodemus thought the new birth was physical.

It’s the inner man who is born again so we must engage what’s inside to receive the Lord.

He who is born again becomes brand new. The old person can’t walk with the Lord, can’t understand, grasp God’s wisdom. You have to be born again to understand the Word.

And he can be a champion of champions.

He who is born again sees the Lord, and does all things for the glory of God.

It’s not a question of seeing spiritual visions, but of a way of seeing in one’s way of life according to the new man.

He who is born again, his spirit is willing, connected to the light of God.

When you are born of your father and mother, you are flesh, but he who is born of God Spirit is spirit.

Our spirit was dead because of sin, but when we met Jesus, He resurrected our spirit.

It’s not human, it’s very fast. This new man, this new spirit, is born of God.

When the spirit has been renewed, the love of God will grow, the desire to pray, to worship the Lord will be present, we will love our neighbor, push ourselves to reconcile with people, we will sanctify ourselves…

1 John 3

8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

Who was our old boss? Because of sin, it was the devil.

And if we remain in sin: in envy, pride, hatred… the enemy will rejoice in us.

But Jesus came to save us by destroying the works of the devil. In what way?

1 John 3

9 Whoever is born of God does not practice sin, because the seed of God dwells in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

The spirit we have, comes from God, we are born again.

A pregnant mother pushes to give birth. God takes from Him to give birth, it doesn’t show physically, you’ll only find that you love the things of God, you walk with Him. At first, this walk is not perfect, although the birth is perfect.

God’s seed is God’s word. And because this seed remains in us, we cannot sin.

Does the first birth still have value after we are born again?

Spiritually no, because unless we are born again, we cannot see the kingdom of God.

So we can’t keep both natures. The old life is a life of sin: rebellion, ingratitude…but the new life is without rebellion, without disobedience, filled with love…

Which will we prefer, the new person or the old one? What kind of children do you want in your home? What kind of parents and siblings would you prefer?

Certainly the new person born again.

This means that the old life, spiritually, is annulled when we are born again.

The old person was selfish, didn’t respect anyone, created problems.

But in Jesus, this person will have a new heart for people, he will be a light for his family.

This Christian will talk about Jesus, he will no longer be in the family gossip, he will bring blessing into his home…

For those who understand this truth, the influence of ancestral spirits will no longer have any effect on their lives.

So, if we see hatred against our parents, our family, we must remove and discard because we are born of God.

Every human being is made up of 3 parts: spirit, soul/heart and body.

The body is the envelope in which the spirit and soul reside.

When someone seriously listens to the Word, then their spirit and soul receives that Word within.

The spirit is always willing, but the flesh is weak. Here, flesh is soul.

The spirit is specialized in the things of God, in the relationship with God. And the soul is specialized in inter-human relations, in the management of material things.

Initially, God created only the spirit and soul, and then He gave a body so that man could live on the earth and manage the things of the earth. And also so that Adam and Eve could interact.

That’s why there’s no marriage in heaven, because there’s no physical body.

So when the Word is given, it’s for the spirit and soul.

Now, because of the history of the past lived in sin, the pleasures of the body…everything has been stored up in the heart. For thought, consciousness, is in the heart.

The heart is used to doing things according to the information stored inside. The same goes for meal types, food tastes or anything else, the information is stored in the heart.

Decisions come from information stored in the heart.

So we eat, we dress, we act… according to what has entered our hearts.

It’s the heart/soul that decides, that chooses.

That’s why when the soul leaves the body, the person is said to have died. So it’s when the soul is in the body that the body is active.

So what does the devil do?

The devil attacks the soul, putting his desires and information inside so that the heart can choose according to what it wants. All this so that man cannot function with God.

The enemy then introduces into man: covetousness, selfishness, the pleasures of the world, of the flesh…

For example, a 5, 6 or 7-year-old boy who sees a girl won’t covet her, but as soon as he’s 17, 18 or 19, he’ll covet the girls he sees. Why? Because the devil will have injected information into his soul through films, the Internet, friends… And all this will be inscribed in his memory.

So when he goes to see a girl, he’ll react according to these desires to satisfy her body.

Therefore, when he hears God’s word, he can resist it because he wants to keep the things he loves.

So when there’s something the heart doesn’t like, if the Christian instead of consulting the word of God consults the desires of his heart, he’ll develop the flesh.

How to get out of it? So what’s a Christian to do?

1 John 3

9 Whoever is born of God does not practice sin, because the seed of God dwells in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Spirit and soul receive the Word at the same time.

Whenever you listen to the Word and you notice distraction, resistance or contrary desires, know that it comes from the soul.

For example, you decide to pray at 8 p.m., and when the time comes it’s as if you don’t feel like it anymore. Or you decide to go to church and when the time comes, you’re no longer interested.

It’s a battle between spirit and soul. The soul will desire things contrary to the spirit.

So what you have to do is bring both together, spirit and soul, to the throne of God. You must master the thoughts of your heart; heart and spirit must submit to God.

The spirit is fast, but the heart is a little slower. But you must know that God’s seed is God Himself, and you decide to listen to Him and obey Him.

Let’s take covetousness as an example:

If you have lust, you must know that it belongs to Satan and if it’s in you, you can go to hell. So don’t ignore the danger of covetousness.

You have to know that the evil in you is very dangerous, so you have to use your willpower.

And look at the lust in the heart, you close your eyes, the heart and spirit must be focused, you are not allowed to distract yourself.

You position yourself on the Rock, and begin to speak, to declare: “I am redeemed. You covetousness, you manifested yourself at such and such a time… I renounce you, I slaughter you, with your seed, your mechanism, I slaughter you…” and you destroy everything.

Or another example:

While you pray you may have thoughts of checking your phone, going to the bathroom, …

Or you’re out walking and start remembering someone who’s done you wrong.

Beloved, a person who is converted must check his heart to see what is evil in it in order to renounce it.

But if he doesn’t, it’s going to fight him sooner or later. Because in the soul, there’s the subconscious, which is like an automatic motor. In other words, the subconscious doesn’t try to find out what’s good or bad, but acts according to the program inside.

That means, for example, you’re driving and you don’t even know how you got home. All this time, the subconscious or automatic consciousness has been in charge.

Unfortunately, Satan sometimes also places his program in the subconscious, in the soul of man. And when it introduces into the soul, lust, everything you’re going to see you’re going to want to possess. If the man is married, he will desire other women, compare his wife to those who will see and even mistreat his wife… Palavering forms in the heart. And those who don’t know this are destroying their own lives. And all this despite the fact that you love God.

Brothers and sisters, the devil does everything he can to hide what he puts in a person’s soul.

Because if you can’t see, you can’t remove. If your shoe is dirty, will you use water to wash your hand? No, you’re going to clean your shoes.

So what’s wrong with us, we have to remove. Let’s not tolerate evil. You’re a new man, so when the Holy Spirit shows you something, be ready to take it away. Those who do, allow the Holy Spirit, the Word, to take its place.
