Let us meet the Bread of Life

‘The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil’ _ No. 4

                                                                                                       Sin is spiritual

Genesis 3

6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.

God created us perfect, to rule and to conquer. We were created in His image.

He had no doubt about his creation, for God was certain of man’s ability to rule; otherwise, He would not have created man.

He created us to be good, and we must bear good fruit, for God did not create evil.

To sin is to go against God’s instructions. That is a violation of the law. [1 John 3:4]

As soon as Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they died spiritually.

Sin is spiritual. Before sin becomes physically visible, it begins within a person, in the heart.

Marc 7.20 And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man, that defiles a man.

21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders…

The devil tempts people to sin so that they will die. For it is the one who sins who dies.

Every sin begins the same way.

The devil comes; he makes proposals; he offers suggestions.

Accepting the serpent’s suggestions is what we call “eating”

What was the fruit that was eaten?

In the time of Adam and Eve, there was no sin yet. The tree in question is spiritual, not physical.

The serpent tempted her with the idea of disobeying God; that way, she would become like God.

That’s the tree.

Eve accepted that thought, which stirred a desire within her.

The fact that Adam and Eve accepted the serpent’s words—that they would not die but would become like God—is a form of corruption.

And so they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

It all happened in my mind.

What do you mean?

Let’s say a married man meets a beautiful woman. And she’s trying to seduce him.

The moment he allows himself to be drawn to anything about her, she will enter his heart.

Admiring them in any way is already the point of connection. And this happened without them even exchanging phone numbers or anything like that.

Even if it’s just a small desire, the desire has already been created.

Matthew 5.28 But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

When the man asks for her phone number, those are the physical details, but spiritually speaking, the action is already over. It has already fallen.

Many fall into his trap and become slaves to sin.

We must realize that the human spirit is nourished by listening to the word.

Whoever eats the Word of God, which is the tree of life, receives life.

But whoever eats the words of the serpent—the tree of death—will die.

Everyone in hell has eaten that fruit.

All those who, for example, do not forgive have accepted the serpent’s voice; they have taken its word to heart.

Because to forgive is to set the other person free. When you don’t do that, you’re going against the instructions for life that God has given.

Adam and Eve doubted God; in doing so, they rebelled against Him.

Before, there was no sin, so the devil came, because evil began with him. There was no other option.

But these days, there are a lot of “trees”: on social media, in certain TV shows or movies, in nightclubs…

The fruit of the tree of death is everywhere these days. After the man saw or heard, the serpent then planted his desires in the man’s heart.

In Eve’s case, the serpent stirred up in her a desire to become like God.

No matter what happens to a person, one should never blame God but rather humble oneself before Him, repent, and ask for His mercy.

Always use your free will to choose to do good.

IN THE NAME OF JESUS, let us pray… →

Lord Jesus, I belong to You.

Whenever the serpent tries to speak to me, may its voice be exposed and destroyed in the name of Jesus.

Let every seed received from the devil be uprooted.

All that I have seen, heard, ... that comes from darkness be burned in the name of Jesus Christ.
May the root of sin against my life be destroyed.

Lord Jesus, I surrender myself to You and submit to You. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.
